Subscription - 2004

Hey there, I wonder a lot.

In 2004-2005 your guys officially stated that you made a mmorpg with a subscription game and pay 15$ monthly.

The gamer community was not happy about this, but your statement was, you would follow the normal mmo models. And this would be what you gain for the subs

  • 1 you pay monthly for the servers
  • 2 you pay monthly for support
  • 3 you pay monthly so there won’t be shops
  • 4 you pay monthly for patches (with or without content)
  • 5 this was announced back in October 2005 - google is your friend.

I understand that we still pay for server $ patches fair enough.
But where are our support?
You fired them all few years ago, and we have seen a lack of the support in-game and forums.

And what is up with the shop, and their cash flow, why ain’t this added to the support area which is lacking a lot?

I know there is crisis and corona but I’m talking since the release of classic.

How come we are paying for something we ain’t getting? - support

Looking forward to see your business model at 5 may for 2020.
I do hope we will see more support.

We do get support. It’s just automated and ultimately useless.

That one certainly didn’t age well.

I don’t think we have to argue for more than few seconds that, this is the normal free mmo standards way.
There are no support as in old days. Include they added the shops.

But yet we still pays a monthly sub.
While they removed the extra gain which was the reason for the subs in old days.

To be fair: when vanilla in some form was only available from pirates, it seems to have been more like “you don’t pay so we sell your personal info to whoever and if you pay we go on a romantic trip to Montenegro”.
