Suggestion for Aggrend! Training Dummies!

Yes it is right there are these dummies but we want

When i startet this thread my first thougt was it will be a sheetstorm or some people saying “just sim it” and i was right

Suggestion for Aggrend! Training Dummies! - #21 by Tee-malganis rank 1 warcraft logs warlock 1st boss sunken temple filter by buffs demonic pact 100% uptime ---- ok a boss that takes longer than 27s ----- last boss rank 1 lock 95% uptime on demonic pact, what was that 5 mins?

Ok and now tell me if he was the provider of the buff or got it from a party member (it is a party wide aura)
And then tell me if the warlock provided the buff was using the chest rune for +10% crit or if he did the 95% uptime with the basic crit chance.
And what pet was he using?

Sounds like a lot of fun to look all these things up in some third party websites instead of just logging in and testing some different options

Suggestion for Aggrend! Training Dummies! - #23 by Xicht-wild-growth rank 1 warlock avatar of hakkar last boss name = taco provider was [Josedemo] another warlock who was in the same group and yes the Taco guy had the rune

Suggestion for Aggrend! Training Dummies! - #23 by Xicht-wild-growth pet he was using was imp

Ok thx for the infos.
Now i want to know how these numbers would be if i choose the rune with drain life instead of bonus crit chance and use succubus instead of imp.

… you finally get what i am talking about?

Real dummies are useful. End of story.
But thx for the debate duel

3 warlock on raid in the same group 2/3 were destro Taco + Langy both using imp — Josedemo was demo spec as a tank with meta using a felguard 95.96% uptime (lets call it 96%)

It’s best to ignore said people, usually mouth breathers who can’t think much besides parroting nonsense.

“gO BaCk tO rEtaIL, tHis iS cLasSic” arguement died long ago when SoD was first introduced with all the “retail” abilities and QoL we keep getting to make the game enjoyable.

SoD was said by devs themselves they use it as experiment for further projects. Target Dummies is but a small drop in the ocean of said changes they could easily benefit.

Suggestion for Aggrend! Training Dummies! - #28 by Archronos-silvermoon never said go back to retail, why ask for something he’s already got hell he doesn’t even need to check the best warlocks to know this he can check his own logs to see the information he’s looking for he’s just too lazy to look or to go to shimmering flats and test this himself ----------- “oh but shimmering flats is miles away i cant be bothered taking a 3m flightpath from thunder bluff to gadgetzhan then mounting there” why not add more graveyards or flight paths like they did in TBC while there at it

  1. I agree with more flight paths and GYs (Technically they added more GYs in ashenvale during the pvp event, and later in STV).

  2. Dunno if they are still immune to certain abilities or not, but regardless, it doesn’t matter. Dummies should be in the cities where people can test whenever they want, whatever they want.

  3. Going through logs is boresome, has nothing to do with laziness, it’s better to test something yourself rather than checking a 3rd party website.

Suggestion for Aggrend! Training Dummies! - #30 by Archronos-silvermoon an accurate website where he can actually see how it preformed in a raid environment where he would want to put this information to use and i think i get it now he wants the safety net of a capital city because he picked a pvp server and he can’t test this stuff in peace, the only thing the dummies are immune to is bleeds because they are mechanical, next he’ll be asking to put in guards next to them like they did at the nightmare incursion vendors

We don’t care about your arguements about wow logs.
Your arguement is null and void, and plainly wrong. No player should feel obligated to go to a 3rd party website not supported by Blizzard to do some testing and theory crafting.

Not everyone knows about wow logs, not everyone knows how to navigate said logs, it can be overwhelming for people who never bothered with logs.

It’s an easy fix by Blizzard, they already have the code in the game for dummies for fixed locations, all they have to do is simply enable them.

These points alone counter your “arguments”.

I’ll ignore the fact you said anything about safety net in pvp servers cuz it’s beyond stupid as those existed always even on pvp servers.

There is no need to keep arguing as all of your points have been dismissed and nullified, no good argument to back them up from your side so it would be unwise to keep posting regarding it if you are against it.

Suggestion for Aggrend! Training Dummies! - #32 by Archronos-silvermoon details, weak auras, addons they are 3 things off the top of my head he can use instead to find out the exact same info, unless he’s parked in front of the dummies blizzard would add if it got approved it takes less time to check warcraft logs or any of the above suggestions than it would take to mount to the dummies and test it himself

This is one of my favourite fun killers… the mentality “you should do 100% the same as the rank 1 warlock does”.
Can’t people have their own ways to play?

it would be unwise to keep posting regarding it if you are against it.

and no i’m not against it i would actually like this implemented, but blizzard probably wont add in something we already have

Suggestion for Aggrend! Training Dummies! - #34 by Xicht-wild-growth never said that at all, i suggested to look at your own logs to find out the information i was using the rank 1 guy as an example to find out the info you was looking for

I understand most of your arguments and they are fine, but this does not change the fact that i (and i guess thousands of other players) would rather do some proper training dummy test sessions. :man_shrugging:

Suggestion for Aggrend! Training Dummies! - #37 by Xicht-wild-growth so would i, i would love a dummy with raid or dungeon normalized rage value gained, correct level, armour and even an execute dummy, not immune to bleeds since deep wounds is 60%+ of my damage output and in capital cities but it’s probably not going to happen

I was doing this for at least 15 minutes per day in retail, it was fun somehow.
And i would love to have this same kind of fun here in SoD

Ok then why did we even argue when we are on the same side?

Don’t throw away your hopes. Aggrend said they will read forums and check for improvement suggestions.
Maybe some of these wishes will be fulfilled if these threads get enough attention. :+1:
