I am a tank and am I supposed to gather the whole group, check people, and summon them? There are so many lazy people and they blame ME for not summoning them. This game is lack a tank and healers and yet nobody moves to the instance except me. I think summoning makes this game worse and should be deleted completely and summoning stones should work the same as Classic Vanilla.
As the title says, Blizzard should delete all forms of summoning in the WoW Classic. It breaks social contracts and is make social interaction worse. Existing of this type of tool is far worse than RDF. It makes people BLAME others for not summoning them to the instance. Most of the players list for an instance and don’t even move to the instance itself.
Try being a Warlock standing outside an instance waiting for some guildies.
“Summon plz”
“yo summon me”
and loads of others.
I have never had people being toxic due to a summoning stone before. I feel some misplaced dissatisfaction going on. - But as Dottie is bringing up, before summoning stone all this “blame” would fall on one class, so this is indeed the case you would merely move the problem from a stone to a warlock.
That exactly what you are saying is “misplaced dissatisfaction going on”. I don’t have time to waste for people who cannot spend their own to do the SAME THING (move to the instance) as I do and have the audacity to blame me for not summoning them. This isn’t one time I have seen this on Classic, and this should be not allowed as the social contract (which everybody playing) is agreed to.
Is the summoning stone the problem though?
If they weren’t there the warlock would be granted this duty, are you fine with that?
To me it seems like an attitude problem of your fellow players, that wouldn’t be solved by taking the stone away.
I get it, anyone that act like that is not someone anyone would want to be around, but if they are like that, they WILL be worse everywhere else too, take the stone away and another thing pops up, take that away and a third thing pops up.
Knocking down the door and leaving with a raised middle finger, is the only way you will ever get rid of an attitude problem in a game.
no ? i am not sure what problem you are trying to solve. this premise is false
Think it might be a jab at the no-RDF voters in a backhanded fashion.
Definitely a jab and not a good one.
Warlock is always the last one to arrive. Fact
Nice troll 1/10
I played warlock when meeting stones weren’t summoning stones, i should know the most cocky players waiting for summons and usually they weren’t the healers or the dpssers.
And now you know why.
I think this is a slightly more complex problem.
I personally don’t have any issue, maybe because I am on the realm with the best people (as someone said on another subject).
People who always demand a summon are lazy, simple as that.
There are some, and some opportunistic ones who only move when nagged twice.
Then those clearly the farthest, HS is on cooldown, passively ignoring.
However, most of the time, finding a tank takes ages, and people don’t want to stand idle waiting. Maybe they do, until one day they have a 90 minute wait, or worse, a failed group, wasted traveling resource, possibly unable to move back because HS on cooldown.
I think the binary removal of current stones would induce problems, similar to how some people want the RDF feature of teleporting to instance.
One thing, though. On a PvP realm I can imagine massive grief, trying to get to the portal, and then summoning. Even though the above applies to the rest, twice. If that’s the problem, I recommend moving to a PvE realm, or campaigning for the conversion of PvP realms.
Nah, all PvP realms are massively biased in one factions favour.
There is only 1 problem as of now.
New/retail players.
This will fix itself when they quit 3 weeks into wotlk.
We shouldn’t change anything based on the experience you are having now which only constitutes a short time of the whole of TBCC.
