90% are just levellers with very few active rading guilds and im based on OG Firemaw. The Horde population according to metrics is dying which is of concern again. BG queues non-existent.
This is not lively experience that you remember that once was. Is just people reigniting their nostalgia for few weeks to be gone again playing something else. Stupid skill books from AQ costs fortune. Shortage of tanks at lvl 50+
I really wish there was something to reignite that fire but like other people mentioned fresh will be dead half way through phase 1.
Classic Era to work as it once was needs to be reworked to match current needs. Squash 40 ppl raids to 25 or even 20, 20 ppl to 10. Its really hard to do anything right now although many people would like to go back to raiding.
I love Era, only started few weeks ago leveling toon from scratch, nearing 60 soon, I want to raid but seeing current raiding perspective my fire is slowly burning away, probably will keep sub for 2-3 weeks to gank some hordies for fun and will move on playing something else.
I started again some days ago, and so far, the only dungeon I have managed to get in a grp for was Deadmines. Trade chat is dead (about one message every 5-10 minutes or so), nobody is LFG for dungeons and the highest count of people in one zone I have seen (bar the capitals), was 12 people in Darkwood on a Saturday evening of mixed levels, indicating some was probably just passing through.
Iâm playing on a non-pvp server, and according to Blizz it should be medium sized. It feels smaller than low tbh.
Safe to say, Iâm glad I only payed for one month
The last census taken last Sunday (official Classic Era discord server, #server-census channel), shows a record 7.3k concurrent players online, the AH having 44k items on A and 35k on H.
Not only is this HUGE, but on par if not bigger than the absolute biggest of the big servers during Classic.
Also, the thing is that, Era has never been dead. Its close to 2 years for me of having a great time. If anything, I am adapting to the huge surge in players since we were used to a small town kinda feeling for a while.
Now in terms of rework - No thanks. Classic enthusiasts got us Classic back to be how it should be. Current needs are taken care of in Wotlk and in retail. 40 man raids are EPIC. Open world interaction w/o mounts is EPIC. Azeroth, not a small cluster of new regions, is EPIC.
I believe we may face fluctuations over time. But Era will remain. The dark times are long gone for us.
A stranger on the internet wrote this with no source given, while we are keeping a monthly census of Firemaw on the official Vanilla Classic Era discord and BG queues happens instantly: [21.5k][16.9k] => [ Firemaw ]
âŚallrightâŚ
Classic Era doesnât need wotlk-like changes from people who donât even realize that by doing so you are harming the players who asked for Classic in the first place.
Once you are 60 (hell, even if you are missing few levels) you can start running ZG/AQ20 to get gear (if you donât want to put effort in getting your pre-BiS) and proceed onwards with the rest.
Thereâs no rush mentality in Era anymore, and its a game with almost no QoL features, very effort and time committing where players have to adapt to the game needs, not the other way around.
If there isnât any of these, then you are better choosing another game.
No need⌠personally i believe the only thing needed is to reduce reset timers, for 20 man raid 24h reset timer is enough, for mc ony and bwl 3 days, those are ment to be catch up raids since we have progressed to the final phase of the game⌠and ppl can easy pug those and gear faster to get to end content, as for pvp you only need one thing or maybe two⌠you ether want account ranks based on the faction you have ranked, or you want pvp rank chronoboon to store⌠or perhaps restore the rank you have lost through decay to where it was, this will make pvp more engaging, dont like that? Even easyer restore rank in each character and remove decay. With those QoL changes added endgame will be way more engaging and lvlers way more motivated to stick around when they hit 60y.
I started playing again over a month ago, and am loving it as Horde on Ashbringer cluster, sure most of the people I group with are on Firemaw, but itâs great. I just hit 31 last night, taking my time with professions, have got a level 12 rogue to do bits on when I am bored. I think youâll find lots of players with the same mentality as me, so unless a fresh realm drops and absolutely kills the game, it would be at least 2, maybe 3+ months until we all start to hit 60 and look to raid.
Oh look another retailer what thinks classic is about raids and end game at max level. I have bad news for you classic main content is leveling and raids are just cherry on top.
As someone that plays on the Firemaw PvP cluster the lower level zones are very lively and itâs very easy to get a dungeon group going, where I however see a massive drop off is when we get into the 50-60 level range since I doubt most newcomers will stick around that long and those that do will struggle to find a raid spot since casual raiding guilds are pretty much non-existent. Not to mention you still have cancer like gDKP runsâŚ
I hope Iâm wrong, but I imagine a lot of the hype will die down in a month or two.
I really hope the âera hypeâ dies down quickly. The new wave of people playing made all the toxic scrubs and disgusting boosting/gdkp people surface again.
It will prolly go down on numbers, because those guys you talk about are after fast and thrilling experience. They soon get tired of ERA. But yeah, new ones can always come to replace them so might take bit longer till you get your ERA back :).
High and low population have its pluses and minuses both, I just say try to enjoy what each ââageââ of ERA offers. Because there is never perfect situation for playerâs experience.
Donât lie, BGâs are dead except for lvl 60 bracket WSG. The only time AV or AB are up is on their weekend promotions. There are no BGâs at all under lvl 60 except for the time people on discord arrange one. PvP BGâs are dead most of the time and thats a fact.
In EU twinks succesfully run 19 brackets. Organized event, still fun for them. AV on current AV weekend had 7 opened bgs most of the time, means 350+ active players queing it. WSG is up all the week long except AB and AV weekend. AB would be able to be pop on week time too but players just prefer faster ques and pops for WSG.
No bgs are not dead mate. Not that way you describe it.
