Sylvanas fate

Recreation doesn’t sound that bad to be honest. Although the most diplomatic approach would be to simply wrap her story up in Shadowlands.

Let her redeem herself but in the end she will remain in the land of the dead and doesn’t return to Azeroth. This way she will not be disposed of but kinda relieved of her duty and earn some eternal rest.

Or just put her into Revendreth after one first step on the path of redemption. I mean, why have her fully redeemed in everyone’s eyes, when you have a whole zone focussed on redeeming sinners while not letting them get away with their evil? She gets some of the comeuppance her haters want, she gets the promise of redemption her fans want, and she is essentially gone from the story like… well, most people want.

Well. New batch of information from the Streamers has arrived in regards to Sylvanas and her delayed book.

Apparently the main reason why it is delayed would be the fact that Blizzard is changing her story. The Warcraft 3 story. There are some people specificly in charge of censoring this game that cannot agree to the fact Sylvanas was enslaved, forced to serve Arthas.

The delay in the book is to implement those changes and adress a new reason why she “worked” for Arthas. She is a woman. And woman cannot serve a man.

As from here there are multiple ways she can end up as. In patch 9.2.5 which will be an Epilgue patch for the SL Xpac, she might return to Azeroth stand trial and then go on self imposed exile. Or she might die during 9.2 and remain within Shadowlands.

I always thought that Sylvanas will remain in Shadowlands.

Escaping “Trial” and achieving her “immortality” but at the cost of being trapped in the Shadowlands, never returning to Azeroth.

However, it appears that her “good” side , her split soul is not merge with her. This leaves Blizzard room to pretty much move her character arc towards a redemption story.

She was always a tragic character and most WoW characters do not really have a happy ending so i’m not sure if Blizz will pull a Kerrigan 2.0 on her or not.

Kerrigan’s and Raynor’s story wrap up wasn’t met up with warm reaction to say the least. I think there was no Youtube content creator that made playthrough of the SC2 storyline that didn’t make a sort of rant by the end.

One thing for sure, Sylvanas has to be put to rest. If not indefinetly then for a forseeable future. Having her run through like three expansions straight is a bit too much.

And the changes to her history are not filling me with optimism either.

Sounds mostly like :cow2: :poo:. What’s the source, and how credible is it?

Most of the info comes from Bellular. But I have been blessed with understanding more than one language so I go to foreign streamers aswell. They often times have very spicy news. One such case is Polish streamer known as Nexos.

Sounds about right. Though a source/clip of those streams would be nice.

Here is the particular link to Nexos’ video where he watches Bellular’s video and compares it to his own information. It’s in Polish so understanding it might be challenging to those who are not familiar with the language https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_pCJC8jFIg&ab_channel=NexosLive

I’ve been following multiple foreign streamers, and this is one of the few that still remain hooked to the WoW. Interestingly enough Nexos in this video said that his source of information within blizzard hinted that Company and Bellular might have some loose cooperation.

Blizzard sends plan drafts to Bellular and he presents them on his channel as his ideas. Then Blizzard watches people’s reaction to those ideas and based on that decides their next move. Very interesting thing indeed.

And it is in this video where Nexos says that Sylvanas’ book was delayed because there are going to be changes to her history.

…doesn’t he usually just speculate like the rest of us? Or does he actually claim to have a source here? If he doesn’t, it’s pretty irrelevant.

He specificly claims that he has one informator within Blizzard that feeds him with some news. He also got message that at least 3 people within Blizzard are following his channel. Which means the company does look at non-english content creators that focus on their games.

As far as I watched him he usually doesn’t disclose anything that hasn’t already been disclosed. If this is different… I’d need to see the link, or I’ll stick to calling it :cow2::poo:.

Most of his content is "what if"s and “what Blizz could do”. He isn’t a Blizzard investigator.

Sylvanas part is by the end of the video during the part where Bellualr talks about her. As for links for any undisclosed stuff. Well I don’t have that as I merely watch those people to feed me information.

I too do not take it a 100% granted but I don’t treat it as :cow2: :poop: either.

The video you linked? I just watched that part again. It isn’t about that at all. That’s a speculation video where he talks about what he thinks should happen to her to satisfy the biggest amount of players. He isn’t even talking about the delayed novel.

My bad. The Sylvanas book part starts at 47:40 mark. After that Nexos says that he got information about her.

Well. I cba to watch streamers, but I have a hard time believing Sylvanas’ WC3 story can be “changed” without utterly and definitely destroying the whole meaning and purpose of her character. ( what’s left of it anyway )
Not to mention that by doing this Golden would have to contradict herself and her very own novels that came before. I really don’t see what good could come of that.

So the source isn’t Bellular’s it’s Nexos’? Well, I never heard about that guy before, but if he is proven right, I might remember. I highly doubt it, though. Especially considering there are much, much more likely explanations for the delay. Even if Nexos had a source at Blizzard that claimed this, and I knew that to be true, I would disbelieve the Blizzard guy. They just released WCIII Reforged. That story isn’t changing now.

Well that might be true or may not. Sylvanas Book comes out in February. Until then we should keep this thread alive so that we can return to this discussion if the changes in her story are indeed going to happen.

Pretty sure the release date is march, but at any rate Golden has been dealing with Karpal tunnel or something, which slowed her down significantly and it’s not impossible that they want it to release, in relation tot he patch, because it may spoil several major plotpoints.

It’s also worth remembering that large cinematics are something Blizz has to work out something like a year, in advance. So unless they’ve got a damned good reason to do it the story is likely set in place, for the most part, at this point.

I have this feeling from long time ago about the right way she got redemption, this will save us all too. But Sylvanas to leave SL as everyone else is hard part. Loyalists will accept any kind, but for those who were with Saurfang story need to be edgy between black and white, not just grey.

Still wait for plot twist promised by writers, because till now BFA/SL we don’t have any, so “who knows”.
