That was so sad mostly cause Saurfang’s sacrifice via 1v1 combat should have been done after the Teldrassil mess and at least it would have given the Horde a reason to join the rebellion aside Saurfang’s ambiguous sense of honor and Baine’s devotion to the Alliance.
And yeah, after this cinematic, Sylvanas isn’t evil, she’s just really, really stupid, but then again the rest of the Horde is even stupider. And the Alliance? What Alliance?
Her big plan was to kill as many people as possible, on either side and to kill everyone’s hope for a better existence, including her Forsaken. That doesn’t qualify as evil in your book? Interesting.

To be fair, her dialogue hints at some ultrerior motive regarding something along the lines of serving “Death”.
Who knows, maybe the Shadowlands leak is true after all. At least there is some indications that build on it marginally.
