Is it realistic to be able to take a break now for 6 months before the release of BWL and come back about a month before BWL’s release for a bit of MC farming and then go BWL?
I’m in my class pre-raid BiS with some BiS until AQ40.
I don’t really fancy farming MC for the next 6 months.

yeah, theres no real content unless youre a dad gamer who has to support alimony/child support/mortgage, in which case you can play 30 mins a day and hit 60 by 2020.
I don’t know how to tell you this but You might just wanna to stop playing classic if you are all about new content and gear etc. It will eventually stops somewhere (Naxxramas).
You are those type of player who needs constantly something to keep you entertained. And I’m those kind of players that can find enjoyment from everything
What about the other people in your guild that still need items? Now that you have everything you want to just going to stop?
By now, we all know that she left you.
But why? Did you wanted to start a family and she said she also wanted the same, but not with you?
Or did she just left you for an older guy and now you are this salty with anyone older and more mature than you?

If you are not in a guild, you can probably do that with no problems. Since you have pre raid BIS, finding a guild that is going MC should be easy on most realms.
Yes, seems like a good time to take a break. After hitting pre raid bis there’s not much fun stuff to do (unless you adore wpvp), and with your gear it should be easy to get into MC & lkely Bwl groups when u return

Here’s how I see it:
Nov 2019 - Honor system
Feb 2020 - BWL
3 months is plenty of time to get a good amount of MC items and farm Honor.
By all means take a break, but I don’t think it will be 6 months lol.

Go ahead and take a break if you want, just don’t be surprised if you end up logging in guildless with no guild wanting to take someone who’s just going to quit after a month or two again.

So cause he got some bis pieces now he is now forced to help the rest of his guild gear for the next 6 months? That’s silly, not to mention it’s really easy to gather people for an MC pug
For the record, I don’t mind helping my guild out and we’ve already given them the experience needed to clear MC on their own now without our input any more.
However, I’ve been clearing MC for the last year or so on a P.server and I don’t think I can stomach months upon months of MC farming once again, especially when half of it isn’t needed and can easily be replaced by BWL gear.
Exactly. raiding is not about “you” its about the 40 man group. People tend to forget its 40 individual humans.
I have to agree here. Dont expect to have a guild when u come back. Honestly if you dont find any joy and getting stronger with your team this isnt the game for you.
realistically if you only wanna focus on your 1 toon and are done with raiding for now then yeah, go back to retail and grind mounts and pets.
if you are open to something else, roll a non holy priest on a pvp server and enjoy the challenges that brings.
classic has a phased aproach that lets people enjoy the different phases as they come. it really is not optimised for powerlevelers.
keep in mind that in this phase world pvp is different then it will be in phase 2. there is no pvp trinket. that means all you got right now is the base class pvp.
phase 2 trinket will change the playing field with the trinket alone.
so enjoy the phase while you can, it is not coming back.
Release naxx and let us play the game, stop time gating.
