Hey, thanks for the new PVP stuff. Can you please address the premade situation? We won’t get to enjoy the new BG if they are still around.

Will this Area be Phased? Or is it just going to be free Rewards for the Servers Dominant Faction?

For instance here on Argent Dawn, where Alliance outnumber us like 10:1, will we just be massively outnumbered and unable to participate?

Agreed! The fact that Pre-mades are allowed anywhere outside of Rated makes no sense. No way a group of random people communicating over Text-Chat has any chance against an organized group that’s likely using Voice-chat

I would also like to have solo shuffle being more friendly towards healers. With such high dampening, it makes it very boring. Maybe change the format or change dampening into something else?

your pvp players are saying a lot of bad words about devs and the way that premades are ruining bgs for people.
i mean at some point you have to do something.

if you dont midnight pvp will be even worse

Yes. But I always thought that the important thing is to show up.
Everyone got horde too, it’s just more convenient to play Alliance cause they’re ahead and stunning too. What more can anyone ever ask for than both good looks and success.

Turns out I get my caches in the dark of early morning, quickly in a timely fashion.
Otherwise I go there and posture. Usually that doesn’t get me killed. Mercy, perhaps, or it’s that no one is there to fight. Which is another reason, beyond pure fame and beauty, that Alliance outnumber horde also. Which would be the failure of world pvp. But I’ve had some good fights. Sometimes it happens. Even with the caches, but only rarely.

But I have to say that I enjoy low hostility. Too much is taxing. It’s more of a tension now, something might happen, and that’s good I think. Could go for a hint more fights though.
I like that there’s tinkering with this to try and get it done right.

Epic Battlegrounds are unplayable as Alliance.

Alliance or horde doesnot matter .pre made groups exist on both factions . If you are solo queuing you are punished by pre made groups

As a long-time bg player, I am very happy that there will be a new 40v40 bg. However, let’s imagine what, in essence, it will turn to from the very beginning.

A new bg, new content, huge amounts of ppl will queue for it to try, and all our notorious premade leaders will rub their hands in expectation of so much fresh meat for their honor farm. They will drool at the crowds of solo queuers, gy camped in the new bg.
More and more premade communities will emerge. This new bg will actually be
a further catalyst for the problem. Because of these very negative experiences, it will be a complete (and loud) failure.

That is, if Blizzard has not already come up with a solution which will be implemented at the launch of Midnight (or the launch of the new bg)

I wonder if Blizzard is imagining what will happen if no solution to stop q-sync premades, or they are busy with other things?
Where are you at, Blizzard?
I want to know this, because if no solution to the sync queuing in Mindnight, then they should be prepared for the amount of player rage that will follow, and even players that will unsubscribe.

So let’s please remind Blizzard, starting from now, until it’s not too late:

Q-syncing must be stopped. Premades that break the rule of how many can queue together must be stopped.

The more we speak, the more we’re visible. Comment. Make your voice heard.

It should be possible to recognize who goes with whom as a pattern.
Group 1 and 2 always queue up simultaneously and therefore they always get separated instead of going together.
Maybe you could have a random queue also, that anyone queuing at the same time gets put into category A and B respectively: A, B, C,…, X, Y, Z; randomly.
Anyway, I guess my ideas on how to solve it isn’t really helpful.

I’d like to say that I like to solo queue, I always do that.
I like that. I like that it’s random and that I don’t know. In a premade we’re confident and I feel that it takes the edge off, making it less exciting. I suppose many like that. But perhaps it would be better if premades fought premades and solo fought solo?
Therefore I propose that there would be a solo only queue.
… Which I also suppose isn’t really a helpful suggestion, it’s just what I would like since it benefits me, supposedly.

I dont get it at all … new bg new “pvp zone” cool but where is all the pvp changes promised? Where is the pvp rewards “restructuring” that was promised at the release of TWW? I am not speaking about Regearing , i am speaking about pvp goal rewards and insentives for ppl to stick and play pvp.

  • where is honor lvl rewards and changes? The system is left untouched since BFA ppl have no reason to grind or lvl their “honor lvl”
  • where is some kind of renown rep for pvp? Why we still with the unchanged rewards structure since forever.
  • why only 3s bracket still has glad mount rewards? Why we still dont have glad mount at 2.4k in each bracket with different color so people will actually have a reason to play after 1.8k or 2.1k
  • stop neglecting pvp all we get is tier set with some wep mogs a tabard and “enchant visual” why there is no pet rewards or more then a tier set mog… why pve has so much mount rewards and all we get is 1 mount + glad mount from 3s that almost no one plays why blitz and shuffle cant have their glad mount…
  • why does you guys give people besicly 0 incentive to be good in pvp with rewards structre that didn’t change since Cata

I will wait and see how it goes . 40 people pvp is normally less chaotic that you have more people and if most people are not downright trolling or majority being afk you can still stitch a victory with babadonda band aid :blush:

“PvP updates” of basically nothing and nothing that does anything that matters. The updates you should do is rework rated system which stopped working after you added separate rated modes like Blitz/shuffles and your rated modes design is participation dependant for each modes so you killed arenas.

You also should put account wide cumulative penalty for declining invitations in matches on your new soloq shuffle/blitz because people now que sync to wintrade in them, most prevelantly in blitz which is completely infested by wintraders que syncing multiple heal+dps duo ques of theirs in rated game to wintrade and boost. Easily stopped with debuff if one dont accept invitation on match but keeps fishing for ques with their mates, you already have this on unrated skirmish even so just put the same on rated now.

Tell me, why would people be able to choose which rated games invitation they would wish to accept? How does that make sense to you, first it enables que syncing, second it enables que dodging in r1 range, so why is there not any penalty for not accepting the game you have signed for in first place, this is rated mode so obviously there should be penalties for not accepting the invitation from matchmaking the game offers you. You get a rating loss from not joining arenas/rbg aswell so why not for ss/blitz. And why is there not even cumulative deserter debuff for not accepting invitation for rated soloqs, so obviously people que sync and abuse the system if you dont put debuff for not accepting invitations.

And as a third if you really want people to play rated shuffles then you perhaps might want to stop ignoring what healers have been saying of the mode for past 4 years if you want the ques ever to be shorter than 30min for dps. Healers dont like your shuffle, its garbage design overall for soloq and it is not the soloq for arena what people asked for past 8 years you just made a mode that is not arena and separated it from arenas and healers hate its design so you have long ques, these are some PvP updates you might want to improve for next big changes like say new expansions.

on top of that, if you que solo on an alt healer (like I did) your MMR from your main carries over.

Played my first ever solo q on my hpriest, got 2K MMR immediatly because of my main, and never q’d again.

The problem is also with the 6 round “shuffle” design that you will go 6 rounds against same healer, dps play against different ppl but the healers just stay heal vs heal so if the other is some multi r1 guy the game is over from the start for the other but he has to be there for 6 rounds. Not to mention the mode has so high healing debuff from start that no healer like healing the mode, in arena healers do a lot more than just heal but in shuffle they have to just spam heal mostly or ppl die immediately, its boring and not rly how arena plays out.

The best advocations for new designs for soloq arena what I’ve seen were this dynamic que for 2v2 / 3v3 in separate mmr for soloqs just like shuffle / arena is in separate mmr now. So people would que for soloq arena and put into separate mmr for solo to play 1 round of arena and after match the game ask if que as team or continue solo, if they select team then they are put in different mmr to play against other teams. This is how we would have real arena soloq and means to play solo and means to play as team and design that helps us find and form teams and finding ppl to play with. Healers would play this and overal it would be one of the best improvement they could do for pvp now.

Account wide cumulative deserter debuff if not accept invitation for a game the matchmaking offers them. Someone who misses his que legit by being in toilet or looking after something x the debuff will be over once they come back.

People who keep declining invitations to select the invitations they get same time with their friends in discord are doing it to que sync in same games, they are doing the same for rated shuffle/blitz cause they can, and both can be fixed with same by just putting account wide cumulative penalty for not accepting invitations the matchmaking offers them.

And what comes to rated modes, they signed up for a rated game, there should be penalty at minimum if they then dont accept invitation for match the system offer them.

In arena/rbg you get rating loss if you dont join a game, I would give them rating loss aswell if they dont join shuffle/blitz but ppl would cry about that so I would settle for account wide cumulative penalty if they keep declining match invitations so eventually they will not be able to continue que sync anymore as its account wide and affects their whole bnet account and all accounts inside it. This would also fixes the unrated que syncing for random/epic bg.

These are some of the “PvP Updates” I would like to see for a new expansion as meaningful changes. The currect announcement they gave us has nothing meaningful or changes nothing in PvP.

Is this going to be like Wintergrasp in Wrath?
Big world pvp zone with quests where every 2 hours 40 minutes turn into a massive battle? If so i’m glad. But sadly premades will ruin the fun for casual players once more.
