Tank not stopping when your gone oomph!

Anyone else finding a trend where no matter how often you type Mana or even shout MANA in chat in random groups the tank will plough on regardless. Ploughing on to often pull not one but a couple of groups of mobs and then rage on the manaless healer?

Wait, you run out of mana? Is that even possible now?

Let them all die and laugh at them why you do rhc even? Make your group for m + healer and tank duos are best.

I’m only back playing with 8 days, so I actually still need a chest and shoulders which RNG hasn’t given me in LFR or Normal raid yet.

Let them die and avoid getting in combat you self, so you can just res them.

Then go “that is what happens when the healer is oom and tank is being stupid.”

Not really in ordinary heroics, I suppose the biggest problem is when your questing on shadow or disc and switch to holy when you zoom in.

Flash heal is pretty hard on mana though particulary if everyone is standing in cannon fire in freehold. And with chain pulling and standing in stuff I can go oomph.

I’m not back playing very long so need to re-skill on managing it, however I do know when I used to tank I’d always keep an eye on the healer.

As a healer it is because stupid people attract damage.
Letting people wipe costs more time than trying to heal them up so in my own interest im trying to keep the fight going for as long as there is a chance to kill the pack.

Once the pull is done our mind is focused onto the next challenge :joy: it takes time to write mana. By the time you press enter I’ve already pressed my key 1 for pulling. I usually wait for mana but sometimes in M+ I get into frenzy mostly at the end with less than 5 minutes and 2 pulls before the boss.

I have a “mana” macro

I was tanking Shattered Halls TW last night with a guild group, our healer was often low on mana, mainly because extra packs were being pulled either because of poor scaling or mostly things like Laser Matrix on Azerite pieces. I do however always keep an eye on the healers mana, as a tank it’s vital. I think we wiped 3 times in there, the rest were not as bad. But yes, Mana is still an issue for healers, I normally heal on my pally and it is annoying when the group pay no attention to my mana.

I don’t mind healing “stupid”; I’ve been “stupid” myself before. Tis the not waiting for mana that annoys afterwards.

I miss spirit, on a raid I’d take slightly less powerful heals in exchange for spirit.

Thing is tanks are all dks, so they won’t die. Your dps will die by aoe, though. How unfair.

(edit: I say this as a healer but my heals can’t post. That’s healist, blizzard!)

Some affixes mean you will always be out of mana and have to sneak every inch of recovery possible.

Bursting+Quaking was such a week.

Generally if you aren’t losing mana gradually you are either doing content extremely menial in comparison to your gear or doing something wrong.

Yup, faced it myself. Easy solution, let them die.

If people are that ignorant and don’t listen, then just let them wipe and die.

Oh man, I main MW and I do get in pugs from time to time that contains a tank who ignores my info about mana, but it has been even worse when i did several timewalking dungeons for burning crusade. Holy cow they had their chats turned of or something since we wiped multiple times and eventualy had to kick a tank :frowning:

I have a /s and /i macro for that. 98% tanks notice it.

I hear you, I went through 40 drinks in Mana Tombs (at least I think it was mana tombs lol).

The Timewalking I stances are hitting very hard this week - just completed an Arcatraz run that was an exercise in patience pulling 1 mob at a time.

It felt like the healer was slacking all the way through - which he clearly wasn’t - he was just simply struggling to keep up and ran out of mana - a lot.

It’s easy enough to see where a healer is up to with mana - dis just have a hard time allowing the tank to decide when pulls happen most of the time.
