Tank shortage in tww

No, I mean that players enjoyed playing tank when they were beating dps on damage done.

Healer shortage not tank

play pala tank in pugs, then you outdps most of them, if you press buttons x)

as vdh you can do the same with fel dev-> 2x demonsurge → meta → 5x demonsurge
you do your 3 million-4 million dps

yep, when i queue as tank, i only look for groups, where is a healer already there :dracthyr_lulmao:

its funny cause i find myself beating dps and toping dips on m+ charts on my vdh xD
rash packs i do crazy damage

and good, i like to remain silent about dh buffs cause it think its hidden OP :open_mouth:

my overall damage for dungeon is really high

vdh is too fragile, but yeah its fun =D

its very fun and active tanker.
is fragile when rely on souls healing and spikes off cooldown yeah

with organised group with discord calls DH can do key +15
but i am happy with comfy +10  in time with chill

i would, for example never tank as bear >.<
i only tank as bear alt for people LFR
god the slog fest

another plus of DH is aggro snapping, you rarely have problem with it

I’m just gearing my second tank now, blood dk so we are out there. I did a 4 sv last night and I know it’s abit insulting but I always have to ask if the healer knows when to dispel on the first boss.

i am happy in keys , if the healer knows, that there is smth to dispel in the first place and extra points, if it happens in the right time. :dracthyr_lulmao:

Regardless of “how fun” and “viable” they make tanking, the community will find a way to hush away any tanks

It’s a paradox in many ways
My friend wanted to start tanking with TWW, so when launch came, he lvled, and started doing Dungeons
But guess what? People were pulling ahead, flaming him for not doing giga pulls and even removing him from the group

He eventually got geared, started doing M0, and people would flame him and tell him “Go do normal dungeons lol learn to tank!”

You know
The same spot where he was previously kicked from, for not tanking “well enough”
 It’s a lose lose.

There is a reason, why all these dps players don’t want to tank or heal
They know the pressure of those roles, but yet, we flame both roles to oblivion

I get we’re your coming from, I usually mess up because I try to do everything because I don’t trust puggels for example the maze in mists I usually die in trash causes I’m trying to kite and Romeo the puzzle at the same time

It’s the tank nerfs and the increased difficulty.
Tanking is more stressful than ever cause a death is a possibility at any second and a mistake will lead to a wipe and likely bricked key. Because of that tanks need knowledge of the dungeons to not brick keys.
But, it’s not all. The increased difficulty also applies to healing and if the DPS and tank don’t do mechanics and interrupts things easily become unhealable.
It’s common to see DPS who are completely clueless so this all becomes a s show.

If i go tank, i get incompetent healers and clueless DPS. If i go healer, i get incompetent and clueless tanks and DPS.
If i go DPS, i can’t get into groups for the most part and if i do, i am having to make up for the clueless tank.

Like, literally pugging is exhausting (more than ever before), cause one mistake or two, even from the person that made the mistake will get them to leave and brick the key rather than learn.
Sometimes someone tries to help and someone else decides to take offense and leave, which breaks down any means of communication and no one dares to say anything until it all boils over.

I also don’t subscribe to blaming the community. This is a result of the design and only changes to the design can change it.
But, i can easily say that the tanking nerfs and changes to mob casting have to be reverted. Tanking needs to be fun, not miserable.

You join a group as tank and the expectancy by everyone is instantly that you know 100% of what to do in every situation, make 0 mistakes yourself, know where to lust, know the best route for the current group composition in and out, and make mob count decisions on the fly when a dps decided to pull something you didn’t want to pull.
DPS makes a mistake? Nobody says anything. Tank makes a mistake? Prepare for incoming flames.

yep no reason to tell a dd, that he can use a def cd, before an unavoidable dmg event and not after x)
plus no reason to tell your mates anything, because you can get punished for it, because its insulting to say smth critical to a person

hi and bye is everything you will hear from me

This
I play all healers, and I rarely pug anymore
Simply not worth it for me to have people backseat game me, while messing up themselves

We did a Grim Batol +10, the ret pally was constantly going “You need to use a CD here, move out of that, don’t use your defensive on that mob next time” etc. etc
 (even if we didn’t die
)

He then gets killed by an avoidable frontal, and I couldn’t help but go “You have to step out of that :)”

He just went “hehe yep!” Like nothing
But when another dps later died, he went all in with the “Omg seriously? avoid stuff guys! We have to focus!!”

Mind you, we were so good on time, that we were +2’ing the key xD

No one bats an eye if a dps messes up, but if a healer and tank does, hell breaks loose

Its not popular role anyway whatever they would do to it. And theres more dps in any contents groups always. If I wanted play m+ still I would play tank still cause you can have most control over the outcome and you get to play as much as you want and decide which keys and make route and pulls and so on. It will likely always only attract people like that.

I suggest any dps to give it a try next time they feel they dont get to play as much as they want. Did the same for pvp aswell, just started healing to get to play and have control over the group compositions and so on. Its supply and demand, and best one can do sadly is just play what is in demand if want to play more.

the actual reason is not the balancing issues imo, i personally don’t play tank because i have absolutely no place to learn how to play it until i start doing m+ and after that you’re expected to act fast with little to no mistakes.
also i don’t want to remember every single pack’s position and mechanics and put out a diagram to follow it’s literally the nerdy role of the game, yes you learn mechanics in other roles as well but tank’s homework is just way too much and reward for that is basically nothing

You forgot the being yelled at for not remembering step 37.

meanwhile there are dps classes with 3 button rotation and they get away with not knowing the routes etc. & get the same reward at the end of the dungeon xd

They dont get to play as much as the tanks tho, if they are not good that is. Theres abundance of dps in system looking for tanks, same as dps in pvp looking for heals. Its tanks and healers market to go picking :dracthyr_shrug:

I honestly do not care about that, because they at least still do the damage.
What I do care about out, is a DPS like that telling me how to play a tank and telling me what to do.

If you’re going to bring that kind of attitude, then bring the tank as well.
because otherwise, you’re going to go by my pace and route.
