Taughts and reflections about the game. !LONG!

Actually that’s the answer, gilneas humans were isolated for a long time and because of that they couldn’t possibly join any paladin order that was created during second war but lorewise after leaving gilneas they certainly could have plenty of candidates, especially considering that they already had priests.

Also until cataclysm we didn’t had blood elf warriors (stupidest restriction for the sake of faction balance), we didn’t had undead hunters. There was many class restrictions pre cata that were really silly and didn’t had much sense lorewise.

Ye, tought so. And ye, this combo is kinda justified without explanation rn. I mean, what is paladin, a priest in plate armor and melee waepon, so, you have to define, how the race approaches priest class. Nelfs are worshiping Elune and that’s not quite a thing to be Warrior of The Light. Yet, there are already 2 nelf palas as followers in Paladin Class order hall. Once they will want to allow this, it would be nice if they use them for it, like founding their own order.

Nigh elf paladins are just night elves who joined argent crusade and were taught the ways of light by paladins of this order

I can get these. To be honest, I am Legionborn, Which is unfortunately quite late. Yet I still got immersed here and so becouse I didnt knew some of the older restrictions, I am probably biased about some nonsense, a race not being a warrior is dumb for sure. Which is even why I made this. To see what others think, and maybe disaprove some sh*t I might convince myself into.

Or do they call themselves silver hand again in class hall order? Idk not a paladin fan

Order hall is called Silver Hand again, yes, but its technically Holy Roman Empire of the each race’s orders.

I’m too started to actively play only in legion era, before that I was a big fan of Warcraft 3, first game that hooked up and immersed me into it’s story, I also was 12yrs old so story of arthas left very strong impression on me

Ye, arthas’ story was one of the 1st I learned aswell. But when the game, (WoW I mean here) released, I was a toddler so, I guess I can still be considered as one when I see how old other players are X). Probably the only place I can actually still feel somewhat young tho.

The problem of class restrictions is that blizzard restricts them and then starts to create npcs that ignore this restrictions, releases new lore that makes restriction look questionable, and essentially this restrictions were bound to be temporary anyway because all this races live close to each other in one faction for 20+ in-game years, not only that hypothetical blood elf could teach hypothetical orc how to read books and cast fireball, but some races produced new generations, and this generations will look on the world in less conservative way

On Argent Dawn you will find a very active community in Stormwind and partially in Darkshire. Open RP is basically 100% chance to happen, as long as you don’t do stuff that annoys people OOC.

I hated when people did this - I never RP’d during my 7-8 years on AD, but I never bothered RPers, I actually liked watching them (I would go away if people asked me to). Especially during the period where TONS of OOCers came to AD because some dingus streamers told players to do so and make ‘‘Classic Twink’’ guilds, because there was no sharding… T_T

if you think about game this much outside of playing it and you are not a youtuber / streamer who makes money on it its a sign of very unhealthy relationship from game

in this case long break will do wonders for you.

take care of yourself .

I can agree with this argument, still would be nice if the new combos, especially the less likely one, would have a storyline backing, I know that LFD are geting their own (Here I am afraid that it will not be good and my fav race would just be truly ruined to me, look at their writing in past 2 xpacs), but I really wish, it would be there for the others, Normal Draenei deserve it too, yes, they can be aligned, we don’t know yet, Pandaren too.

last 2, only?

I’d add everything after MoP.

They have just revealed the class addition - I’m sure it’ll come.

I thank you guys, I might contact you or just go ther or try it. Just not in near future days, maybe in August I do have uni exams and assignements to take care about rn and can’t have get myself distracted even more then I already do XD

Idk, I think Legion was fine, if not great, and I enjoyed WoD too. Yea, the last part was wierd that we just forgave Grom just like that and it could do more in general, but the zone stories were fine I think, I got immersed myself in most of them, especially Shadowmoon and Talador, which is my most favourite zone in the game.

I understand why you feel that way. To be honest I am having problem with Tauren the most.

Tauren paladin: I know the eye of elune etc. But Tauren was always this “tribal” primalist for me. It just does not feel right.

Tauren rouge: Do I even have to explain? I remember there being memes long time ago how funny it would be.
It is ridiculous and kinda immersion breaking to see a giant cow sneaking on his hoves.

But unfortunately I do think that the longer the game lasts more logical inconsistencies will be introduced.

People will say that “it is a fantasy game, there are dragons so we can have sneaking cows”. The thing is, just like with movies, we have logic based on the lore, to immerse yourself in the world you need to believe this could happen.

I think however the game direction has dropped the “immersion” part and is focused more on the gemplay aspect. Especially in the class identity department. There used to be more class specific content (rouge poison prep, warlock summoning and soul shards etc)

By one hand it is sad to see it go away, by another I do not miss farming soul shards before dungeon with my lock.

Yes, rules have to be followed if you want your world be good. I agree with this.

I do have some my own headcanon for this, as I don’t see this as absolute crap. They just simply copied the way from Draenei, and for those, well, if you can make spaceship, you can make your hooves to no clap loudly. I hope it helps a bit to cope with it, it does help me.

What’s the problem with legion writing? I’d say they did most things right: retconned the hell out of sorry excuse for a lore that was TBC, succeeded in fitting the whole legion story in the frame of one expac (would be much better if legion was 2 part expansion but oh well), and brought up huge amount of forgotten npcs and characters from various books
