Taughts and reflections about the game. !LONG!

Mhm, some of them being Alleria and Turalyon. Whom where both fine in the books. Turalyon is now a Light doormat and a zealot, Alleria is a Void snorting addict who’s a danger to literally everyone around her.

Raising Nazgrim into a Death Knight, and thus destroying his character.
Sylvanas becoming Warchief. Killing loads of characters just to cause us to be ‘‘shocked’’ (too much GoT watching).

Completely ruining gameplay, and in fact destroyed class fantasy to make ‘‘spec fantasy’’. Removed lots of things, balanced classes around having the artifacts, thus making leveling pre-Legion an utter nightmare.

This is so true, and over time it will become more and more obvious that it is true. It’s a shame that many players still don’t see where this is going. Wow has always been different from all those generic mmo games and for a reason it has always been better and far more popular than all of them, and now it is slowly moving towards being just like them, a generic mmo game.

Wow for me has always been about factions, politics, their relationships, problems, truces, the occasional cooperation towards a common goal or a fight against a common enemy. Factions always, as the main or occasionally as a secondary theme. Even when they cooperated, it was always clear that even then there was intolerance, hatred, and that minor or major problems could arise at any moment. This is what separated this game from other mmo games. Now the factions are not so important and will be less and less. Now from time to time we’ll get a generic marvel character or characters to fight and beat, and so on and on. There will probably be a spark here and there, but everyone will know that it is irrelevant because it is no longer the theme of the game.

In some segments wow had to go in a different, new, better direction, but the core pillars of the game should never be touched.

Ye, and now we are best friends ever cca 4 years after a terrible war. Some real nations like Polish hate Russians for thing which happened 80 years ago. It’s just too soon. I do believe that cross faction is becouse of the low playerbase from whose many do not care about the world anymore, like I said - amusement park. And they could make en entire expansion about both factions geting so much damage they would not be relevant anymore and the remants would have to cooperate to rebuild the world.

Lore is the past, and removal of class restrictions is the future.

So basically it’s all about money as usual? I’m not surprised tbh, ruin their game for people who whine about cosmetics so they get more money, typical blizz

Amg, a company wanting money?

No waaaaay

Haven’t read thousand years of war myself, and heard that this book is meh so can’t say much, alleria don’t have impression of drug addict on me, weird take ngl

How exactly it ruined nazgrim’s character?

Move itself wasn’t even bad and had potential, it is not failure of legion that BFA and SL was destroyed her character

Lmao

What

It’s true on many levels, I agree, but it was a problem of cata-bfa period, not just legion era

One of the complaints I actively heard when legion was current expansion is that questing was utterly EASY to the point of not using your rotation it was true pre 7.3.5, patch that introduced scaling into quests, MoP and draenor also had this problem what exactly was utter nightmare when you could easily roflstomp all mobs 1-80 and then level more swiftly through much more linear expansions, real nightmarish thing was tolerating lame TBC zones

I actually do not understand your comment.

Look, according to our real lore, we are supposed to ride horses and manually reap crops with the scythe. But here we are on the interned instead.

It is lore accurate for things to change over time.

She absorbed a Naaru and going bonkers.

Void snorting

He should’ve stayed dead.

His story was good, and he died for what he believed in - then they raised him.
Don’t kill of beloved characters and then bring 'em back - kill and commit, or dont kill.

Yes.

If there is (was) a leader that had the least to do with the Horde, it was Sylvanas. Hell, If Lor’themar became Warchief at the end of MoP, I would’ve been fine with it.

MoP was beyond superior to anything since. DF is going the right direction - but I’ll pick MoP anyday.

I felt like less of a Paladin in Legion, than I did Pre-legion.

It wasnt CLASS fantasy in Legion - It was SPEC fantasy.

Legion is where it started.

Did you ever try to level a Frost Mage from 1-90?

It was a chore, as the damage was so bad until you had your artifact. Not every class suffered from this, but many did.

And Legion is the expansion that introduced all this borrowed power crabs we had until Shadowlands. Garbage systems, extreme RNG, stupid Legendaries. Sorry, but Legion is where the soul of WoW died to me.

I meant they were fine in the book ‘‘Beyond the Dark Portal’’, ‘‘A Thousand Year War’’ was released in Legion, and is where they were turned into the atrocity we got now. I’m hoping both will be killed by players soon enough.

Yeah at the expense of other things…no way

Honestly, in the end, I am not exactly against removing restrictions, but each restriction removed should have some base in a story. I think it is possible to somehow explain all, without breaking immersion or retcon (at least big one). It just need some effort. It’s just sad that Blizz is just giving up on 20+ years of storytelling and worldbuilding becouse of damage coused mostly by Shadowlands. I do have my own story how could Draenei and LFD be able to pick up lock as a class, without breaking their absolute hatred towards it. At least I think it is alright. I am afraid, that the explanation they will give us will be lame. If they are giving it up, I don’t understand why Metzen returned to WoW team, I hoped that he would try to fix the lore at least to some point.

Well sure, well written story with the removal of restrictions would be nice, but it is not necessary. Good old generic curiosity will do.

A few curious Draenei decided to see what is that warlock-ology all about, and they simply joined their schools. :stuck_out_tongue:

Okay, what’s the problem

He wasn’t just suddenly resurrected as the same character, he was raised as a death knight by ebon blade, that’s the point, bolvar’s knights took away his honorable death, it’s why their whole questline is very morally ambiguous. Nazgrim is not even horde’s champion now, he belongs to ebon blade

Your bias for character is not failure of writing

Mop was a disaster In terms of making every class copycat of each other, every class could do basically everything

I also have numerous amount of feelings, for instance I feel like all you doing is throwing statements left and right without specifying things, because I can’t help but wonder what do you mean by “feeling like paladin”

Which came first, chicken or egg

Yes, I remember that frost mage was kinda easy but other 2 specs were almost unplayable. But idk why that was a problem because those people who whined about this also cherished vanilla that have like half of specs being unplayable

Please stop blaming Shadowlands for why you don’t want to play DF, it’s getting old now. It’s time to admit SL was a better expansion and that’s why it had way more subscribers.

It’s just lame, why it couldn’t be Man’ari trying to repent, with it’s customisations? This “curiosity” thing could still have story, how they are banished for it, yet they expected it and aren’t upset about it, becouse they would understand. It could be just 10 mins story. Just opening the class and saying “well some curiosity” is just lame, and to me it’s just immersion breaking.
