I don’t get this!? Even if they get “boosted” and win vs a non boosted team they deserve the spot lol! It’s not like they can afk while the other one win the match for them… Since when is it a problem players with different skill-levels play together??
A very good arena player should ofc be able to play with how many people that he/she wants to…
not really, 2x extremely skilled top elite players can get gladiator almost soloing as 2v3, so they can boost 3rd to gladiator without taking the boosted account (he/she can still play and do what they say)
but even if in certain cases where the boosted shared his account to the boosters to get glad? that’s another issue which should get the penalty of breaking the End User License Agreement regard sharing account, meanwhile that shouldn’t stop him from receiving gladiator title & Mount SINCE his character qualified for it.
but i highly doubt that blizzard will ever be bothered to enforce their rules toward sharing accounts, since more than you can ever imagine are sharing their accounts with family/friends//GF/BF or the thousands of people who share accounts with randoms when they’re buying rep/honor/mounts…transmog…etc farm service.
They are sharing cause they’re allowed to and are not getting any punishment.
If they start banning people for it then it won’t happen anymore cause people learn(the hard way) that doing so will get them banned.
The same thing happened when there were honor bots in classic and recently with BG afkers.
People stop doing it when they get banned or hear there was a ban wave for that reason.
Problem is that they are activly paying for the boost, as a service.
Also, as long as they win with selfplay, they will just continue queueing, and when it starts to get rough, or if they dont win comfortable anymore. They just switch in someone to play the third class (which often is a rogue). Remoted by someone else.
Yeah you are completely right. Blizzard has to take a stance and DQ & ban a lot of people these 2 weeks or this cheating issue will just spiral out of control. Cheaters/Boosters/Rank 1 players are controlling most ladders across all regions with boosting, piloted chars, wintrading and just camping spots with alts. This is not healthy for the future of classic arenas. Please put some effort into catching the cheaters blizzard. DQ them and reward the people who actually played.
to qualified for gladiator, your character must be on top 0.5%? so if the character reached the top 0.5%? then it deserve the reward, people who “DQ them and reward the people who actually played” are funny! because blizzard is only rewarding the qualified characters not the crying babies who want to get rewards they didn’t qualified for.
calling them cheaters & accusing the them for buying boost with real money or sharing account? is another issue! and if blizzard could prove that? they should punish it for breaking the ToS which can be timed ban/perma ban but the character will still keep the rewards.
I mean ‘if blizzard can prove that’ - there are just so many things that can be done, but seemingly they dont bother doing it.
Chats, logs, account information, IP adresses, PC connections, subscription method, paying options. There are just so much they could investigate to be able to convict the boosters, but nothing is done.
The current system, where they go off of certain %'s for the ENTIRETY of a region is already like retail ecksdee. Most of the changes they poorly made for arena in TBC were from retail but then they didn’t put ANY safeguarding in there very poorly.
Highly unlikely this is the case, because boosting in arena’s is a lot harder and usually either requires a ton of coaching(often not to glad) or more likely playing their account for them which is more likely to higher ratings.
Most of the people that ‘sell for gold’ often coincidentally work with websites that do RMT which I will not name and there’s a reason none of them tend to have really absurd amounts of gold on their characters they actually play on.
The problem with PvP boosting vs PvE as well, is that it factually hurts other players doing arena. We DID see Blizzard take a stand and push for PvE when it happened to people for the Hall of Fame kills when it became more prominent guilds were being boosted and coached.
Do you have proof of this then? Who cares anyway, they still have to play and perform. This exist in every competetive game, think about LOL,CS DOTA etc, they DO NOT forbid a low rated player to play with a high rated player. Why would they, since you get matched with players with the same average rating.
As I mentioned earlier in the thread (If you would’ve bothered to read), I have been pretending to be a customer, and they have said that they are doing gold boosts. Also been in touch with customers (people that have been boosted) that admit they have paid a huge ammount of gold for the boost.
As the system allows you to play with anyone with any rating I see no problem with it. What they could do is to only allow similar rater players to queue with each other. But its never been like that, so imo pointless discussion.
Yeah the ToS breaking arena boosting is sickening at this point. Even the gold boosts, you can just sell the gold later for RMT when the end of season investigation is over. This is a serious loop hole and will get abused even harder in the upcoming classic arena seasons by more players. Everything will escalate if untouched. Please save classic arenas Blizzard!
