TBC Anniversary Edition will have eternal realms?

Regarding the upcoming TBC anniversary release Will there be TBC realms that will not turn into WotLK?
I am strictly interested in TBC and would love a realm that will forever just stay TBC.

No one knows. Blizzard has not told us anything yet, so what you will see here is only guessing and speculation.

Sad to hear.
I heard that blizzard announcted they will turn classic realms in TBC ones after Naxx. So if thats the case then I can assume tbc will also turn into wotlk

In an ideal situation to appeal to all players it could be (all in one fix)

Eternal Anniversary Classic Mega Server (PVP mode toggle)
Eternal Anniversary TBC Mega Server (PVP mode toggle)
Eternal Anniversary WOTLK Mega Server (PVP mode toggle)

1 of each. With a 3 year server reset cycle interval.
Each year one of the Eternal servers reset, alternating, so there is a fresh reset every 1 year, cycling every 3 years.

Then everyone can play there favorite game when they like, without getting bored.
An eternal server resets every 3 years, for people to enjoy it all over again.
Even hardcore players stay entertained with alternating xpack resets,
while casual players have time to enjoy and focus on a certain xpack.

But might be best to not divide the playerbase more than that for Classic anymore.

Resets and wow make no sense to me.
It’s an mmorpg, its all about grinding and collecting. Reseting would make it all pointless. I wanna come back to a realm even 3 years after i take a break and still have everything.

This just means PvE server. You got PvP mode toggle on PvE servers right now. The entire point of the PvP server is that you can get attacked even when you don’t want to PvP.

That being said, the only info we have is that anniversary PvP and PvE servers will go to TBC in winter/spring 2026. Blizzard will announce any further info definitely not on this forum in this thread😁

… and in no way in EU!!
I can’t remember the last time Blizzard answered (not copy/pasted) a post in EU, but it must be years back.

Nope, one of each - or PvE only. It is too easy to cheat players into PvP with a toggle mode - as can be seen from the griefing happening in HC and PvE servers now.
… and the PvP crew is not satisfied either:

Reset? Then it’s not eternal servers any more.

Nope the way to do it:

  • Eternal servers for Classic, TBC, and Wrath alll three having one of each PvP, PvE, and HC - optional also one RP-PvP.
  • Every 6th year a fresh start with 3 (or 4) new servers. Two years per xpac with options to clone to the eternal servers before the fresh ones progress.

Lots of yappin going on here for yappin’s sake. You all just gunna post up all the various ways they could implement perpetual/season tbc and what? Think it’s going to inform some sort of decision making process at blizzard?

The team will do what suits manuvering their player base around at any given time, having the ability to stop something and force change plays directly into their grubby useless little hands and everyone knows thats all that matters, but don’t let reality get in the way of a good yap lads…that’s what forums are for right.

Yeah, you got that right. Oblivously nobody expects Blizzard to take notes in a random thread in eu forum of all places. It’s just a mental exercise in a vein of “wouldn’t it be cool if…”
Blizzard is gonna make some sort of era system for WoW Classic eventually that runs on it’s own with minimal input, sort of like Diablo seasons. Might as well speculate about what it will be like, while on the crapper. Better than watching youtube shorts brainrot.
