Tbc best damage class?

are we still going to have 1000s of warriors for raids?

By the end of TBC you will be sick of seeing warlocks and hunters.

Hunter and Warlock share top dps slot, depending on who gets the optimal party setup with all the buffs for physical/spell damage respectively. Toward the last patch of the expansion, they get almost cought up by Rogues wielding Warglaives of Azzinoth legendary swords and Arcane Mages chuging mana consumes supported by a spriest and like 3 innervates. But never quiet overtaken.
That being said, you cant have a raid of just hunters and warlocks, TBC is good at forcing each raid to have at least 1-2 of every other class.

So dps warriors are down the pecking order ?

One Arms Warrior is taken for a debuff he provides, fury is pretty much useless.
And by useless I mean sub-par dps and provides no buff/debuf. You can still take fury dps and clear content, it’s just not optimal, just like taking “meme” specs in Classic.

God does that mean half the player base need to reroll lol

Yes.
But then again, those warriors who were in it just to be the top dps already have lvl 60 locks and hunters ready to switch to in tbc so /shrug

I wonder in what kind of content you played during tbc but my guild had 2 fury warriors in BT and Sunwell, i’ve played fury all through tbc and i wasn’t rejected for doing sub par dps, on the contrary, ppl wanted me.

Well, in Vanilla i was not rejected / benched with my feral druid either…

…did not go as smooth in Classic to say the least :'D

Based on my experience from Classic I expect hunter / warlock stacking along with hybrids to support them. Especially when rosters are 10/25man and no longer 40. No place for memes (warrior / rogue / mage) there imo.

Min maxing is the name of the game nowadays.

Why asking such stupid question? Pick what you prefer and enjoy most. Re-rolling because of “I want to be the number 1 dps in any case” kills fun honestly and makes the minmax culture even worse.

Warlock / Hunter / Rogue or Fury Warrior with Warglaive and full arpen gear T6+ (if you don’t have that, you do crap damage).

Tbh. Rerolling to do the most dps is what people find fun nowdays, sadly. Seeing themselves on top of dps meters is apparently “fun”

Back then i was already min-maxing, have you forgotten about a site called elitistjerks?

I mean, if there’re multiple classes/specs you enjoy playing, I don’t see the harm in playing the one, among those, that works best. Ofc you shouldn’t force yourself into playing something you don’t like, but if you have options you don’t mind choosing, why not choosing the best one?

90% of warriors in Classic would find another class more enjoyable if warrs were not top dps

And what’s the problem with that? If they can enjoy playing any class and pick the most effective one at the role they’re playing, how does that suck the fun out of the game?

That’s meta gaming

Would you rather have them roll a dice to pick the class, or something?

No, people should play what they find fun, not what is best

But if they can have fun with multiple classes/specs, why shouldn’t they pick, among those, the one which is most effective?
