TBC classes question

Which class raiding spec is also its best for solo farming? For example, Warlock raiding spec is shadow bolt spam build while its best soloing is probably demonology or Affliciton. Hunter best raiding spec is Marksmanship but his efficient farming spec is BM.

Is there a class that its raiding spec is also the most efficient for farming / grind / solo? Only one I can think is combat rogue, though I might be mistaken since many years have passes when last played.

Thanks in advance.

Hobbs made me make a protection paladin. All his gold / farm solos were insane. His vids are all still up on youtube.

In order to grind as a prot paladin you need mobs to be melee, not flee and also be in dense so you can easily pull a lot. what if you want to farm specific items or rep? I want a class for all common situations. But thanks for the reply!

I’d say BM Hunter with Ravager pet is your best bet … One button max DPS spam macro!

As for Warlock the shadow deep destro spec you are talking about can work with better gear … Sac VW for hp/s and go kill stuff … You get hit insta bolt …

You can also raid as affliction and use that spec to farm really well …

Druid dps/tank spec is nearly identical and they are super good in TBC

Thanks! Also for druid, yeap you are right! Thats also a very good option as well. As for Affliction, is the debuff limit removed in TBC?

Think its still there but don’t recall the number … Raids would want one aff …

Nice thanks! I also remember having a warlock on my raid group back then who had to tank leotheras demon form but dont remember what spec he needed for that. Maybe Affliction for boosted drain life?

Soul Link with Ruin and +225 FR unbuffed … Searing Pain talented …

I agree that hunter is probably the best choice for what you’re looking for.

Feral druids are also good at certain solo activities without much tweaking. Same with Combat Rogues.

There is a lot of weird builds you can go for in TBC. Pet and frost solo elite grind is still there but depending on patches they use AoE will have that damage cap, while mentioned Paladin aura/damage reflect will be not - and that can be don as holy or holy/prot. Mages still can do AoE, although super big pulls won’t be a thing with that damage cap change.

And for rogues you can go for avoidance tank build if you want duel physical damage dealing mobs/bosses. Or playing with DPS rogue - spellpower rogue and likely way more oddballs.
