Are there others out there like me that are hoping for future Burning Crusade hardcore realms?
I love hardcore, and would prefer the pacing, extra content, and class design of the game’s first expansion as vanilla isn’t my personal cup of tea.

I doubt it will ever happen and mainly because the raiding in TBC is way more risky than Vanilla.
For instance Vanilla has easier pve scripts and world buffs. Bosses are like elite npcs which is encouraging people to risk their characters.
Well, people kill Uber Lilith and T100NMDs in Diablo 4 on HC, so I think everything is doable.

It’s like a secret level, a game+ or a continuation of the hardcore challenge, plus the opportunity to try 1-70 as a blood elf or a draenei, which bring on their own new class to their respective factions. Yeah that’d be cool.

Wrath would be fun to see.
Protection warrior with wrath talents is absolute bomb to play.

It would be cool if your character lvl 55+ died, you could make him into death knight.

Issue with TBC, Wrath, Mop hardcore and so on is that the game at those points became backloaded. So it was less of “world of warcraft” and more akin to “world of latest expansion”.
What i’d would have personally liked to see was to have TBC, but make outland downscaled to like 40-60, and normalize the gear to not be superior to vanillas end-game gear. So that sets are more about satisfying your build rather than your build being locked into one set and one set only.

I would love to have either BC or WOTLK Hardocore simply because I like playing Blood Elves or Horde Paladin. Also, I started playing at the end of TBC and for me this is the era that hits the spot. I would LOVE to have BC or WOTLK Hardocore servers. Retail Hardcore sounds great on paper but the world is so easy, so soft that I don’t even think it is any kind of challenge, unless they create a server specifically for Hardcore in retail that has a massive spike in difficulty, especially tunning up mobs like quite a bit.

Vanilla hardcore works because everything has one mechanic (and people still manage to fail it) and you can overgear overbuff and abuse every single thing in the book to make even naxx bosses look like low level kobolds from elwynn.
In TBC it’s very limited what you can do. No worldbuffs, less interactions with flasks and pots, a lot of things got nerfed and there are more mechanics.
Dungeons are also ware harder and more punishing in TBC. Additionally TBC had some nasty early bosses like Maghteridon (one guy fails = full wipe gg) and Nightbane.
While its possible, way fewer people will make it. Heroic dungeons can be nasty too
I still think majority that plays hardcore playing it for the leveling experience and not the endgame. Endgame is just a a joke with all the wbuffs/petri and so on. Even though TBC heroic dungeons would be very scary/challenging way playing on HC I simply don’t think it’s enough people that care about 60+/70+/80+ content. I can be wrong, but feels it’s all about the leveling.

You know that Wrath Classic exists right? You can just go there and delete your character if you die.
You are wrong with TBC. Wrath, MOP, etc yes. Its very easy to level and do stuff.
But with TBC? The leveling experience is almost the same as in Vanilla. On top of that, in TBC they first introduced Heroic mode in Dungeons, which are way harder vs the ones in Vanilla.
Also harder Raids.
I think TBC will also be very successful …but it won’t happen! 
Vanilla ( Classic ) is…Vanilla, from many point of view!

Yea, and you could only get a dk that way.
Maybe also add that you need to be killed by a scourge mob or something.
If they make Burning crusade hardcore, it will be a real breakthrough and really interesting content! For the Burning Crusade hardcore!

Let’s be honest hardcore tbc would be a dead end at gruul and mag. If you manage to get past the hcs to gear ofcourse.
Maybe if you could start at llevel 58 in hellfire, but starting from 1 and getting to 70 would be annoying

We don’t have normal TBC for dead characters to transfer to. Remember Hardcore started as a community project for players who were bored from Era and wanted a more challenging gameplay.

Give 2 TBC Era servers with NO CHANGES!!! And add Soul of Iron buff - is all we need.
