There is a difference between “punishing difficulty” and appropriate difficulty lol.
Pre-nerf TBC content can’t and won’t be punishing for the 2020 playerbase (unless you are very bad)

No I agree that it will be easier this time around, but keeping stuff like 360 cleave and fast respawns is just silly.
The respawn nerf I can somewhat of understand, but how far do you want to go with damage nerfs? Do you also want aoe spell abilities changed to cones in front of the casters?
Because retail looks like a korean mmo. Besides, heroics were perfectly tuned in the beginning and struggling to complete them felt really good.
I never did heroics prior to 2.1 myself, but I heard stories that some melee classes were all but excluded at the start due to lack of reliable cc and the aoe cleave. With today’s mentality, I can easily see warriors and rogues being completely barred from 2.0 heroics.
