TBC Start prepare newcomer

played for prob 10years on wotlktbc contend no reason to “enjoiy” that lvling phase if its the most boring part for myself and most people i kow are going into gdkp runs so they can skip the lvl part quick since i need to lvl like 3 warlocks and 2 priest for arena

So why play Classic? It doesn’t make any sense. Retail has everything you need. Easy, shallow, super-fast levelling you can roflstomp through in nanoseconds, and then it’s pure raiding, raiding, raiding, raiding and nothing but raiding - and the raids are far more challenging than Classic, with far more complex mechanics, requiring far more skill and coordination to complete than Classic’s relatively easy content.

I just don’t see what TBC has to offer you. You and those like you will just steamroll through the raids, using ever meta available, and then you’ll have nothing left to do.

i only play pvp and tbc and wotlk are the best pvp addons in my opinion obv i steamroll threw the raids:D its fun killing moroes in 14seconds or all other kara bosses i think only nightbane is living over a minute

I don’t want to play retail. I want to level up with my T3 priest in TBC through dungeon zerging to 70 asap so I can start raiding asap. The leveling through TBC I can also do in retail (and have done so many many times) but the endgame is what’s the best, the crafting, the HC dungeons (of TBC). Also not looking forward to waiting 5 min for a mob to spawn the first week.

On that note: I also have a hunter I wanna level through Outland at a slow pace, doing all the quests and zones, but at a later time. That way I have the best of both worlds, because I still adore Outland. Just not wanna compete with 50 ppl on a single quest.

So here’s a little insight in someone with a different opinion than yours

No, because in your case I held up a general garment, and you are claiming it was cut to your fit. My post was in response to Revoid not you, because I’d already read your previous post saying you were planning to rush on your first character, and then go slower on your second.

Consequently you are not planning to ‘rush through the content’, save in one specific character.

Well fair enough I guess. As long as you enjoy it.

Ah true enough, seems I repeated myself there too. Apologies for sounding a bit harsh maybe.

EDIT: also part of the reason I’m going after full t3 is because it’s still so viable at early 70. I believe a 10 man group that’s just wearing Naxx gear can clear Kara without problems.

You said T2 would be replaced around 65 is also not true. Some items from Molten Core will be upgraded around 65 so I expect full T2 to be on par with or just below normal dungeon gear 68-70, like the TK 5-mans.

Nothing besides a select few items before naxx can compare with tbc gear. T3 can hold up untill Kara but in general most of 5man hc or lvl 70 quest blues are better.

Just to illustrate for shaman t2 chest
31 intellect, 17 stamina, 23 spell damage. +16 spirit and some resistances.
Random blue qest reward in hellfire.
15 intellect, 21 stamina, 44 spell damage, 6 mp5

T2 not replaced? Hmmmmmm ahhh I dunno. That really is debatable.

OK I grant there’s a couple of choice MC items that are actually best in slot for some classes, and there’s a good chance that running dungeons and quests from L60-64 might not grant many meaningful upgrades to full T2,

In my priest’s case I’d be comparing something like Rainments of Divine Authority from Blood Furnace with T2 Vestments of Transcendence.

Bit more intellect on the latter, but the former is socketed. Healing bonus is nominally similar, but of course the latter also has the set bonus, so I guess it’s really down to the gems, and what it’s coupled with.

OK I’ll grant that T2 compares favorably to pre-75 dungeon blues, but there’s a few variables.

  • Also never forget the fact that TBC gear just looks badass too! That alone is an upgrade in my book

100% agree on the looks of TBC items  Though T3 for priests looks great too.

I can indeed see T2 being only useful to level up fast in TBC, not as pre-raid bis, but it’s very easy to get atm, even for a fresh lvl 60 so there’s no reason not to get it

It’s actually crazy that gear from a previous expansion can be carried into the first raid and be on par with certain items in said raid. After TBC this was not seen again, even mythic raidgear got you maybe as far as max level before replaced by dungeon blues.

no point in rush to 70, TBC is more casual friendly even if you play 3-4h a day you still will be at good shape PvP and PvE wise.

if u need to lvl multiple characters then rushing up would make the game much more relaxing later since the lvl part is the worst for me
