TBC Start prepare newcomer

Hello i just lvld this Warlock for TBC and i am tbh a little bit late i know

But is it possible to get some T3 pieces? in the last months of Classic? I dont even own t1 and i have zero Gold for GDKP but i dont wanna start naked in TBC and i would like to join those t3 big pump groups for dungeonlvling:D

I don’t think any guild or pug will take you unless you’re at least tier2 geared.

No you are not getting 3 as fresh geared 60 without paying or being boosted by good friends.
Your best bet is to join a guild and be committed and gear up through their mc bwl and aq raids, with zg pugs on the side and then towards the end u will have enough gear and knowledge for naxx without being boosted

no free ride for you, naxx consumes cost money

Very unlikely, unless for some reason people actually take an undergeared warlock into the raid.

Going in with full T3 is just going to spoil your leveling and gearing fun.

As a lock you don’t need good gear at the start of TBC. Anyway, you get it as you progress through Hellfire or even Zangermarsh at 60.

If you are getting hit a lot then use your VW. I can easily tank stuff 5 levels above me with mine in Classic.

In the meantime do some farming to get stuff to sell.

if i remember correctly, early tbc my warlock was required to get the staff from kelthuzad. so if its still like that today, you might need a guild to get ready for early stuff. most will be provided to you in outland (no different than any other expansion).

you do need to collect as much gold as you can for flying mount. its expensive.

i think i just need to lvl a mage… for the gold maybe on a second account so i can boost my alts quick idk depressing LOL

Going in with good gear is definatly nice, but not at all required. just means you need to farm a bit extra at level 70 cause you wont have t3 thats around equal to heroic gear.

makes lvling much faster tbh those big pumping dungeon groups

Either join a guild that is not very tryhardy (you can still get gear, although t3 is a different matter). Otherwise, wait for tbc while doing pugs. If you want gear to level up in outland, you can get it. Doesn’t have to be bis/t3

If you farm for the transmog and look, well you need a lot of pre-bis from every phase AQ/BWL well geared, if you do it for the sake of stats not worth it, everything will be replaced within first 2 zones and crafted gear from Tailoring for Warlock is your top priority over any T3 piece, so farm gold level alts enjoy

This. If you just want to “go go go” to 70 and blow through all content, sure. But TBC isn’t going anywhere and you’d much more enjoy taking your time on start, you’ll still end up raiding and doing heroics as everyone else.

GDKP runs if you are prepared to spend …

Lock isn’t that hard to gear up in fact 3 of the best in slot pieces for Lock before T3 content is Bloodvine which is crafted.

ZG holds a lot of good lock loot including the Zanzil Seal/Band combo, Jin’do’s judgement/Bloodcaller, Jin’do’s bag of whammies, Touch of Chaos, The Hexxer’s Cover, Bloodtinged gloves and Heart of Hakkar

AQ20 also has Staff of the Ruins and Shackles of the unscarred.

If you run these and get some of those items and some Bloodvine then theres no reason you’d be kept out of T2/2.5 content and can join pugs.

Buying some green “of shadow power” items off AH and running UBRS for Eye of the beast and getting Diana’s Pearl Necklace from Strat Live and your pretty much ready for AQ40.

Some guilds that are desperate for players might even take you in and help gear you up giving you pieces that most guildies have at this point.

What this little gnome said. Get bloodvine gear crafted and try and get into AQ20, ZG and MC pugs. It’s a good start with some decent drops.

What if I wanna do both? I have an almost fully naxx geared Holy Priest I plan to dungeon zerg to 70 from the get-go and craft my bis set the moment I’m 70. I’m not too fussed about questing at the start since I hate waiting on mobs to spawn so I rather powerlevel in dungeons.

On the other hand I’m leveling a hunter to quest through outland fully once I’m raid logging with my priest. Questing with a hunter is much much more enjoyable. He’s 53 atm so he’ll be 60 in time for tbc.

The two ways are fun so I wanna experience them both. The hunter will be used to pug mostly and do outdoor shenanigans, and the priest will be the high- end raider.

Even if you were to enter TBC with full T3, much of it will be replaced by quest reward gear within a couple of levels. The items in TBC are massively powerful compared to Vanilla gear. If you were to enter Hellfire Peninsula in full T2, it would all be upgraded in the first hour by quest rewards with hugely superior stats.

T3 would last a bit longer, maybe up until around L75, depending on your luck in dungeon drops, but even so you really don’t need T3 for leveling in TBC, you can do it in greens with no problems at all.

thats not completly true T3 is equal with preraid BiS and u gonna rush threw Dungeons with so much Gear in a t3 group… u gonna lvl in a blink

Why?
I don’t get what’s so good about rushing through a videogame you actually pay to play. What do people get out of rushing and skipping content? It makes no sense to me.
