Since classic server ‘fresh start’ as promoted,is not much of a fresh start, with 20 k people having gold cap,and that’s gonna ruin TBC economy from the get-go,add wow tokens to the auction house.
Thank you.
Don’t give me that crap but wow token didn’t exist back in the days…
No,but not every single vanilla player had gold cap by spaming diremaul ubrs-lbrs,gold bought of fishy sites etc…
People barely had any gold to buy slow flying, let alone epic one, even people who played vanilla actively.
Its going to be hell for any of us who waited for tbc since WOTLK.
We wont be able to farm gold because we gonna be stuck walking, while 90% other players gonna have epic flying moment they get to 70.
We gonna get ganked 24 hours a day.
We gonna be excluded from every grouping up because lack of gold.
No enchants, potions, flasks etc, while those players who progressed from vanilla are going to be months ahead of us…Again not much of a fresh start.
So by the time we get gold for flying, flasks, potions enchants, most people gonna be in full heroic gear already, and again we gonna be behind in everything just because we don’t like classic vanilla.
Because as promoted, classic servers should be a fresh start, which is not in this case, which means blizzard actually lied, which again is illegal according to the laws of sales.
this entire topic about gold and gold reset is such an absolute nothingburger. literally nothing is going to happen. it’s going to affect not one single person
Except you who’s gonna be running from 280% flying gankers who’s sole purpose is going to be to prevent you from leveling.
Offical TBC release, and release of classic TBC is going to be nothing alike.
People who have gold cap,are going to buy boosts, raid spots, dung spots, farm herbs/ores before you even get to see them on the map.
You don’t see problem with this?
Back in the day,you didn’t have boost sale like you do now.
And its very much going to affect you (should you chose to play) when you spend 6 hours in lfg inmain city, without being able to do anything else, just to get screwed over by warrior who has 1 epic item because he bought boost, and its going to be tons of them.
Since you replied with lvl 15 char,im just gonna wild guess here, you are one of those classic players.
Honestly, no. WoW token has ruined the economy in retail WoW beyond repair and has promoted unhealthy networks and underground networks of RWT/RMT through boosting.
Players originally went into TBC from Classic with a lot of gold too. It’s not an issue.
You are already making a commotion out of very little yes there will be people with plenty of gold it doesn’t mean we can’t achieve anything and the same or better than we did in TBC, if i did it last time all the raid the epic flying and all i can do it now no need for tokens.
Something like on TBC launch day every non soulbound item is removed from your character, you can keep all the actual gear you’ve earned from classic and let’s say a maximum of 5k gold, but that’s it, you can’t hoard items to sell at a later date to bypass the cap.
That’s true, boost culture weren’t anywhere near what it is like now and weren’t as chaotic and prevalent back then than, but if you add a WoW token then that will be the ‘big green light’ to all of those boosting/RMT organizations from retail WoW to hop over to TBC Classic for gold farming/boosting, further destroying the organic progress, etc… it’s a huge slippery slope in my opinion.
Gold-capped players are a small percentage as well, why sacrifice the entire game over a small percentage of players who want to buy wow tokens because they’re gold capped?
What would you say if Blizzard didn’t allow a certain amount of gold to be taken to TBC from Classic? like a transfer gold cap or something. I don’t know, just a thought.
You seem to have missed the part where in my example all non soulbound items are deleted, like i am talking everything except gear, mounts, bags and tradeskill tools like a blacksmith hammer or a skinning knife, specifically so that no one can hoard mats and consumables to vendor/sell to bypass the soft reset.
