I still don’t see any justification for token. I’m glad things aren’t being done like Classic with the whole NOCHANGES brigade. I am glad that we are getting all the flavour of TBC.
However that does not change that TBC realms were not ‘fresh’. They were continuations of the existing realms. It is unrealistic to expect Blizzard to create a whole load of new realms which just create low population problems. Fortunately they are leaving the old realms alone and you can essentially just character copy over to the new one using a snapshot Blizz have taken before TBC comes up. Those that want to stay in the Classic experience can, which is great. Those that want to stay in that bubble or keep some characters in that version of the game, can.
blizzard already introduced service character boost for classic-tbc when such thing never existed, so i don’t see why wouldn’t they bring game-time token into classic-tbc.
maybe they are just waiting to ban some gold sellers first.
You’re saying 90 % of the players will be farming with flying mounts from the get go but you’re not able to do that? Seems like the problem is on your end.
The only issue I can see with this being implemented is that gold sellers will just snapshot their gold to TBC and they can pretty much just sell double stock cause some people are staying on classic and some going to TBC. It’s gonna be a wild thing to see
If realms are over populated we will see new ones of course. They underestimated Classic’s popularity initially although it’s no where near as big as at launch it’s still a consistent community.
The same will probably happen on TBC launch, many have been waiting for this over Classic. It could be even bigger but even if it’s the same as Classic launch, that’s a lot of people wanting to try it. It will have the same cycle where there will be more initial interest. Just like any retail expansion.
