Tell me your secret!

There’s no doubt that boosting is the fastest way, but if you’re asking, you probably already know that. I’m guessing you want something that doesn’t require high skill or commitment.

Very important: stop spending gold. You can’t fill a bucket that has no bottom.

After that, anything will work, just at different speeds. Nobody makes millions in a few weeks. To make millions, start by making one million. To make one million, start by making 100K. What is important is to develop activities and habits that reliably keep gold coming in, and those should be activities you don’t mind doing. There is no point at all in tryingto keep up a routine you hate.

Gathering is reliable. Not spectacular at this stage of the expansion but steady.

Callings give ~1800/day = 54K/month per character. [*] ]Doing callings on 10 characters for a month will get you a half-million … and a drinking habit. :stuck_out_tongue:

Someone posted recently that mission tables give about 1K/day/character. I was surprised, but looking at my own mission tables, that seems about right, 30K/month per character. 10 characters = 300K/month. For a very limited time investment. So 10 characters with callings and mission tables will generate 800K in a month. Then keep that up for a year, and you have gold cap.

After that, get TradeSkillMaster addon with all the modules, take a PhD in using it, pick up some crafting professions, study the market on your realm - and other realms, since that will become relevant at a certain point - and spend a lot of time at the AH.

[*] P.S. I forgot the faction bonus crates, which probably add about 500/day.

Probably. However with that much gold you can sustain them just with the gold alone. Its not any different to a multiboxer.

However i dont remember how much gold guild vaults can hold. That alone ups the amount of gold you can hold on one account tremendously.

As others have mentioned, making gold isn’t a quick and easy thing (Unless you sell boosts or get very lucky with early BoE drops in patch’s). I used to make loads of gold in BFA from farming leather, turning it into items, then disenchanting the items and selling those materials. I went through hours of research and tried different things, from herb gathering, to potion making to other stuff.

Callings are a good way to make gold if you have multiple alts 5 alts can net you 10k a day (You get about 1.5k a calling). Raw materials usually sell quickly on the AH too, so, if you have a gathering profession, just gather things whilst doing something else and it’ll build up.

As others have mentioned, don’t spend needlessly. You can’t make gold if you’re spending it as fast as you’re making it. At the start of SL’s, I started skinning and selling the Heavy Callous Hides. I’d be making 20-40k an hour from just doing this (They’d sell pretty much instantly), but, it required me to find a good spot that no one else knew about, since it was being heavily farmed by bots.

The best professions to make ANY money with is gathering profs. Crafting profs can also make some okay-ish money, as most people who are levelling alts will instantly check the AH the moment they hit level 60 for that 1 item at 230 and the rest at 200 ilvl, so they don’t need to deal with Normal/Heroic dungeons.

Everything in the game is capable of making you money, some things just take longer than others. If you’re aiming to make a lot, then, the best 2 pieces of advice I can give you is 1. Don’t spend anything and 2. have patience.

They mostly flip consumables and crafting reagents. One dude made 3 gold stacks from one week before patch release to the end of the first week. He managed to sell almost 250k elethium ore at 160-170g each, purchased at an average of 73g each and that’s just one item. Big win for him. But yeah, not as popular as it was anymore I realised after your comment.

Used to be able to make over 300.000 in a day from AH

The best era for gold making was probably WoD and Legion with their mission tables. With a bunch of alts you could print more money a week then the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe.

Nowadays it is more of a slow accumulation with WQs. the callings, little bit from the missions, the occasional paragon box etc. Sometimes selling the old pet or BoE on the AH. I’m not a massive AH trader and never really have been.

The best way to always make money is don’t spend it unless you have to. Have some alts with useful professions so you can make your own enchants, flasks, pots etc. And farm your own mats so you aren’t buying them. It all added up eventually.

Working for it .
Professions , mission tables .
I don’t boost .

The secret is…
Not buying useless junk on AH, but selling useless junk on AH.

Having 10 chars sit in Korthia and just do the crystal dailies with all of them to sell those worked quite well the past weeks. It’s not “millions”, but it’s not very time consuming and at the same time those alts get some korthia gear through the quests and chests.

Auction house from selling profession stuff, and rare battle pets.

IRL money converting to tokens.

Just playing the game a lot, and doing all your reputation daily’s to get paragon caches.

Boosting dungeons.

First few weeks of an expansion going ham on gathering professions. I made 500k+ in the first few days from just selling ores.

I dont have millions. I just never buy anything in AH apart fro the time i bought a runecarver item. I pick/mine and fish everything I need. I have lots of alts with different profs so basically Im more or less self reliant. have near 500k. Obviously I buy recipes for alchemy if they are useable. Also never use gold sinks.

They buy WoW tokens ofc.

I’m just frugal as hell, except for that one time when I spent over 1,5 million gold on wow tokens to race change most of my characters because I was bored.

Get good at the game and boost people. There is no other way to get millions of gold and anyone who tells you different is lying to you to reduce competition.

Rofl. My millions say otherwise.

Some people boost and make lots of gold that way.

Others play the AH and flip stuff. There is a wow reddit dedicated to making gold:-
