Tenders in 10.1.5

As of now you are right (though I like most of the lower price armors) but if this goes live rest assured that more and more items will appear, with unique looks (much like that last outfit from the shop, the cristopher Columbus like one)

Oh yeah, like the underground cavern and the third Evoker spec you mean?
“Wait until it’s comfirmed!!!”

Yawn.

Hopefully this means the stuff they’re putting on the post is of the utmost quality. A level of splendor worthy of me exchanging my irl moneys for tenders.

Think we all saw it coming, tender is even trackable on you bnet account management.

It’s fun because I remember them explicitly saying that it wasn’t going to be a battle pass. Well I guess they meant it only for the very first period of time.

i wonder why you are surprised.

we told repeatedly that its battlepass - people argued its not

well thats exactly how battlepasses work in mobile games

should have fought against this battlepass before it was put into game.

thats how you addict people to drugs.

first give them “free” samples and then when they are addicted you cash in .

mechanism is exactly the same - thats how battlepasses operate

next obvious step is 10-15 euro a month paid battlepass option for unlimited tenders from content doing. its just matter of time.

I’ll wait and see what they are but it is not a welcome addition to the shop IMO. That would just make it another cashcow.

And here it comes.

They ruined OW with it, now they are taking down WoW.

For those saying it’s just cosmetics… in OW they made it so that you hardly get rewarded if you don’t pay. This will most definetly happen to WoW as well.

Thanks Blizzard, just thanks. I have almost zero motivation to play OW now, cause there isn’t really any goal to reach.

Have fun, those of you who are stupid enough to pay for rewards in games. Go get broke, and yes, and I called you stupid. It’s your fault all games are heading down this route. Selfish dots with too much money. You already pay a subscription, in case you didn’t notice.

Well it does look like a scummy move to be honest but I’m generally swimming in tenders so I’m not too worried. I doubt they’ll be making lots of new items that will make me want to spend.

I only go for mounts myself, and maybe something else if it appeals to me enough.

I saw this coming the second they replaced the diplomat ensemble with the blades of elune as a monthly reward, and then there was the guardian bundle too. The trading post was only ever made too coach more people to buying from the store and making a middleground between the players that usually dont care about the store and the big spenders. Its all an extension of the ingame store.

If people didnt want PTW trading post DO NOT buy the trading post items they put on the store

Everyone saying its fine are high in my opinion. Its not fine. Because its just another way to seperate you from your money. Sure the trading post stuff is average now, but just you wait. Pretty soon its going to be really good things in there. Whats the point? Whats the point of playing this game if everything half decent I need to fork over more money for. I already pay box price and a sub. There is already a cash shop. Stop killing your game.

For me its simply that I just don’t care as long as two criteria are met;

  • The pricing stays as is, a select few options for x amount of tendies, you can not spend your tendies to bring them into next month so you can maybe buy more next month
  • It stays as easy to get the exact amount of tendies you can get a month right now (few hour investment in a month, technically completeable in a single calendar day)

If they start meddling with those and making tendies less available / cost more time / price rewards higher I will join the front line to hiss and spit and cough fire, until then I’m not really bothered. I just feel bad for the fomo people who probably won’t be able to resist the urge using this to buy out every months trading post vendor who this is obviously targetting (the only one who can fix their fomo itch is themselves tho)

Seeing as they’ve let this be datamined before making any kind of announcement, they might be gauging the (negative) reaction to it before committing. If, hopefully, the reaction is overwhelmingly negative they can still use the icons in some other way and pretend that was the plan all along. But if the outrage isn’t great enough to worry them they’ll go ahead and put the tender in the shop.

So let’s say Blizzard creates 100 new mogs for a patch. They used to be rewards for content in the game, but now 70 of them will be in the Trading post instead, and let’s say they all cost 500, so you can buy two of them per month.

So realistically, in a 6 month period you can onlyget 30+2*6 = 42 transmog pieces unless you spend real money.

Agreed. Way more people should be upset about this. We all, as a group of players need to vocalise and send a strong NO to blizzard.

Blizzard has been boiling this pot for so long that most of those that remain are long used to it.

well this was too good to stay like this

There are two possibilities:

  1. Blizzard made this deliberately open for data mining with the purpose of seeing is community tenderized enough to accept it in the cash shop.
  2. Gibberish and nonsense, simply because there are too many icons representing sums with small increments in between, and that is not how cash shop usually works.
