Tenders in 10.1.5

that’s how usually battle passes work tho, there’s a free line that gives meh rewards and paid one that gives good rewards, also the time is enough to fill it all, i think ow should’ve stayed in loot box style but bpass isn’t a horrible idea

Honestly starting to think you are a paid actor by Blizz.
You should be mad, everyone should be. Say what you want but if this comes to pass everyone will be effected and it will have a horrible impact on the game

That is sucky indeed, to put it mildly.

some people also say those things can be promotional like prime rewards, expansion upgrades, twitch drops etc. what do we think about that ? they say there are way too many different amounts to just add to shop

I’ve never enjoyed the battlepass system, why would I pay for a deadline?
It’s literally paying to put yourself under unnecessary pressure.
I would much rather a battlepass have a system where it’s time limited if free (but you can unlock everything if you farm it) or you pay and you will guarantee you can get everything, even if it takes longer.

you can pay to get all the rewards from battle pass tho, they sell level skips too.

This isn’t really an answer you are then paying twice, and earning nothing.

My idea combines the best of both. Rush for free, or pay and you’ll get all the content you paid for by playing, at a pace you enjoy

your idea doesn’t provide much money tho . most players complete battle passes way before a season ends. free to play games need that money to stay alive.

She most certainly is not. That’s an accusation usually placed at puny’s feet, equally ridiculous, equally hilarious. Afenton just doesn’t take everything at face value.

Which is good because currently the face would set everything on fire it seems :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Afenton’s face? Well thats a given.

Helen of troy had the face that launched a thousand ships to come rescue (depending what legend you read) her.

Afenton has a face that launched a thousand warheads to obliterate her existence.

I gladly let everyone know I launched half of them.

Then just do the same as with Overwatch. Speak up against it and stop playing. When no one plays it and/or pays for it, Blizzard will see the numbers go down and is forced to roll back.

Prefer the horrible histories retelling of her story actually…

hasn’t Overwatch always done that though and not just the sequel? genuine question.

No, overwatch used to have a loot box system earned by gaining 1 box per level (unlimited levels), but it was tempered by the ability to by coins that could be used to directly by the item you wanted. While you could pay cash for boxes indirectly by buying coins and spending coins on the boxes. There was no need to do so as you could target specific items.

Overwatch 1 had “seasons” where they added new cosmetics, however this was free for everyone without limitation, and didn’t stop you from unlocking the older ones through the loot boxes at the same chance as the newer ones, or just buying items direct from the store with the coins.

On top of this, if a box contained a duplicate item, you instead got the coins value of that item added to your account, which could be used to target the item you wanted, without paying. It was a better system than OW2, however people hated it because hating loot boxes that were less forgiving than this was the style at the time.

Sidenote, in Belgium it was even banned.

Ironically I think the ow2 system is worse, because not only can you not target specific items anymore, you also lose items that you’ve PAID FOR if you don’t complete the Pass in time.

OK thanks, never got into Overwatch, I just couldn’t get into it’s play style I was more of a Quake and Unreal player.

Be happy you are not playing OW2. OW1 was (with its problems) pinnacle. OW2 is the cheap copy with better graphics.

To this day I don’t understand how ow2s battle pass is better than ow1s loot boxes.

Sure people hate loot boxes but:

  1. All the boxes were free, and could contain any content from any season (so no FOMO)
  2. You could choose to buy specific items with coins either earned or paid for, so you could skip the RNG aspect entirely if you desired
  3. There was no rush to get to level 80, since you could just keep farming with route 1, or buy the item direct with route 2.

With Ow2 the player must

  1. pay for the new pass
  2. either complete the pass on time, or pay again to skip parts of what they’ve already paid for, or lose the items forever

I don’t see how ow2 is possibly a better loot system than ow1
