I personally understand that 1 hour queues are a bit much, but honestly, the fact that horde has 30-40 minute queues while alliance get close to instant ones has been common knowledge since WOTLK.
That people seem overly surprised now kind of baffles me, and is a clear indication that there are a lot of retail players that didn’t know what they walked into when they picked horde, and the fact that they all picked horde only exacerbated the problem to the point of 1 hour queues.
I’d like horde to get shorter queues personally, but not in this way.
Absolutely not in this way, this change threatens to undermine the whole player base and the long term health of the game.

problems actizzard is so money rotten they are doing more damage instead of encouraging more players to play ally or balance realms they just did something that will likely make a lot of people leave, myself included
If you are so eager to fix everything then fix the issue with premades.
I say a bit, because I have played horde for many years.
My first char was a horde UD priest in 2006, before I switched to a belf paladin on TBC release, and later a tauren druid for WOTLK.
Back in 2015 I started on pservers, again playing horde (orc shaman).
During all those years, 30 minute queues were normal, and 40-45 minute queues not unheard of (1 hour + for AV).
When I say “a bit much”, it is relatively speaking.
Long queues have always been the norm horde side, and something to be expected after so many years of the pattern repeating itself.
When “everyone” rolled horde this time around, this was an obvious outcome.
I do have sympathy for the long queues, but this is 100% the wrong way to tackle it by activision.
Just git gud. I can easly farm around 10 in 1 hour playing the majority faction on my server.
Dunno if I will leave the game, but im definitely contemplating transferring off my realm atm.
2:1 (more likely 3:1 when counting in shattrath) gets old very fast when you spend half your time in whisp form.
Can I make new account and buy boost again?
I want to play Horde now, but don’t want to lvl from 1.
Or can I faction change my alliance character somehow?
No idéa why I would play alliance now, just went there for instant queues.

If nothing else, the only thing I’m happy with when I chose alliance (which honestly is not much at this point) is that I chose Night Elf.
Wisp form is clearly the best pvp racial for alliance atm, considering all the corpse running we have to do.

Before this change there were like 20-25 Eye of the Storm BGs going on simultaneously. Now it was 220! We can clearly see that there’s soo many more horde players interested in pvp, this same faction bg mode has to stay because its the only way to fix the queues for demand this big.
Free faction changes wont make any real difference when 10 times more hordes want to play bgs than alliance. EU pvp servers are 60% horde, 40% ally so even with free transfers it simply wont be enough. SAME FACTION BGS ARE THE ONLY CHOICE and im ok with it.
