Only facing premades or allys as an ally in BG’s wtf is this crap?

Now you know how horde feels, facing premades all the time, however our queue was 1h while urs was 1 sec so u can just go again.

Give me faction change, I mean we’re doing changes so lets implement it. I want to be a blood elf pala, thx

premades are crap, they should separate premades out that’s true, as for facing alliance what’s the problem? it gives you better odds of winning becuase horde is usually harder to beat

It’s premade ally ALWAYS so far.

In a few days it’s gonna be premade everyone

Hm blizzard likes not only roleplay games when man is dressed as a woman but when alliance is dressed as horde and vice versa…

  • No benifit to playing Alliance (the only reason my friend and me rolled Alliance was the faction imballance resulting in longer queue time which we thought was a reasonable downside and a natural consequence when having better racials as horde).
  • (as a result of the previous point) The faction imballance will grow further since anyone who might have had doubts about which poison to pick ? worse racials vs worse queue times ? will have his doubt removed as playing horde gives you the better of both worlds.
  • (as a result of the previous point) Alliance economy will suffer even more with a lower player base, and will eventually have many ghost towns.
  • Possible win guild/friends wintrading (it takes only one or two players in the opposite team to throw the game if they want to).

It works like a charm !
Thank you guys that’s Christmas today for people wanting to do PvP.
Finally something that keeps me want to play this game.
I was just about to quit this game because of those long queues and now it’s fixed, that’s perfect for me.

I don’t get people whining about “no benefit anymore playing alliance”, yes right… because you play alliance only because horde has long queues in BG… marvellous way to chose your character faction…

Yes the factions are imbalanced but this has nothing to do with fast queues in BG… and anyways just let ppl play whatever they want to play.

in a few words, this change is more than welcome to me !!

thanks

Amazing feature Blizzard, love it!

Nice, can I faction change FOR FREE now then? Since the only reason to not go horde is fixed now

Eh no? Only reason I went alliance was because I wanted to queue BG. Will I and the thousands like me now get to play the bis faction with free faction transfer?

There are now only downsides to being alliance and the only downside to being horde is gone so it’s just dumb to play alliance.

I sense some payment required incoming here.

"It’s…dying, faster than you can imagine. I am fully aware that this post does not belong to this forum, as it will likely get answers as ‘why did you roll alliance’ or ‘git good’ or ‘play an allliance majority server or pve’. But do understand - alliance didn’t flood these forums suddenly, new alliance, because you, the majority, finally can que BG. Nobody has issues with it. Neither did I roll alliance for the shorter ques. As an ex-warhammer player, I prefer beastmen over Bretonnia, Orc over the Empire, Orcs over…no, Dwarfs, and Chaos over everything. I just felt, back when I started this game on private servers, that the horde is the mockery of the Warhammer factions I like, and so I got somewhat commited to alliance. It was not a bad choice or private servers, regardless of the expansion. I prefer alliance in WoW (and ‘destruction’ in Warhammer).

I did not cry about anything on the forums, I barely used the forums at all, and certainly did not mock people in the que in the past. I accepted that farming out my pve gear, if I farm out the spellfire at all, will take longer on my alliance pvp server, which is far from the worst balance wise. I was fine playing outnumbered, it makes you better at pvp, it gives and extra thrill. I played my class for over six years in tbc and wrath (‘git gud’? Like most people I meet in BGs could ‘git gud’, especially other warlocks), I’ve learnt everything about racials and how to play around them, including the infamous one. I, we, have accepted everything without complaining, because this is a TBC server, and only someone not familiar with the expansion expected balanced factions and ques.

I have yet to experience a Burning Crusade private server that has made playing alliance an absolute masochist choice, made the faction unnecessary and instead of giving incentives for the playerbase to roll alliance, destroyed all of them. I got accused yesterday that I have only rolled alliance for the ques. I did not, however the ques were the only thing that kept a minor pvp base on Gehennas and other pvp servers with alliance population. This was the last incentive. Blizzard didn’t even try any other solutions, like free faction change, which undoubtedly have made some horde take it, as my pvp guild had ex-hordes who rerolled already. No, the answer was to make alliance irrelevant in every two-faction aspects of the game, so instead of fixing the underlying issue, which is not BG ques but massive faction imbalance, Blizzard moved onto ignoring it completely, and just destroyed factions instead. Well, alliance is to be merged into horde.

Woke up this morning, joined a WSG, beat a Russian semi-premade. Was done with the daily WoW. In the meantime, 18 EOTS was running at 6.30, and at maximum one had alliance in it… just to have an idea of the faction imbalance. Gehennas had barely any players awake, and could barely fill a WSG cross-server. In the meantime, my arena partner told me he is ‘sad and anxious’, and quit the game overnight, despite being significantly more tryhard than I am, and farmed all gear in week one. “Sad and depressing” he said. ‘Find a new one’ - there is none. People are quitting or rerolling. No communication from Blizzard how to make alliance better to play, how to compensate for having no advantages left in the game at all. No matter how comitted one is, nobody wants to play a faction that has no new players, and is just slowly dying. If Blizzard have made their ‘bandaid fix’ a month ago, I would have had enough energy to roll on Golemagg horde with friends. Not anymore. The inevitable ques, and my preference for alliance made me not to roll horde, and was ducked. After playing many years on private servers, I could not imagine Blizzard will manage this expansion worse than any private servers. Haha, War*ane looks like a good ‘company’ in comparison. Guild chat was discussing the state of alliance right now. “No, its not like Retail, it is worse, and it is faster”.

‘But alliance has better racials’! Maybe…mabye in season one, for some classes. Maybe, the racials aren’t that big of a deal, playing 6 years on pservers have taught me. But it doesn’t matter, their perception matters. Of course…in private servers, droves have gone horde every time in TBC for ‘lore and aesthetics’, and the same gone alliance in Wrath ‘for lore and aesthetics’. I guess this time, the latter can be skipped, for alliance won’t survive TBC, unlike in retail WoW. Already in retail, the faction imbalance started to grow back in the day, so they introduces the bandaid fixes of giving alliance better pvp racials. This won’t be enough this time. Horde players have no idea how many alliance will quit. ‘It is overblown’ - no it isn’t. I have surrounded myself with pvp players, and they are the first to quit/reroll.

This is not about ques. This is about losing the incentives to play alliance, and losing the players to play with. Its about widening the faction imbalance which is already bad. How many…30 BGs run right now? 25 of them are mercenary BGs…that is how imbalanced it is (and I don’t care how many alliance there are in pve servers, I like pve as long as it is a minor activity besides pvp)."
