I payed half year suscription to play TBC.
There could be solutions better than HvH, like Mirror racials and Mix faction vs Mixed Faction. HvH only benefits Horde. Yet again another retail move by Acti-Blizz-ion.

If you want retail changes you could re-roll retail.
If you don’t like queues you could re-roll the less dominant faction.

Just remove racials from pvp. They do nothing good for balance. Even the so called retail racials are broken and they cant seem to ever balance them.

You can’t balance retail racials, because faction balance is completely ruined there both in PvP and PvE. Noone on retail is having faith in Blizzard to solve it.
Classic had some form of balance, but everyone knew it would get worse in TBC. What nobody knew that boosts will be added and how many retailers will use them and screw Horde queues that hard. And most certainly no one knew about HvH or everyone on the Alliance would rerolled in Prepatch or didn’t even bought half year suscription or Alliance character boosts.
Blizzard will just show great disrespect for money Alliance customers payed them, if HvH would be implemented with no changes to Alliance favor.

I think there must be a better way, alot of players saw this coming and went alliance for queuetimes in pvp.
If you then provide 10v10 horde, alliance queue times goes up and horde goes down.
But then players who went alliance to pvp go horde, it isn’t reflected in question but world questing and all other arenas reduce alliance pop and you end up with a mess.
Its a short term short sighted solution in the long run messing the game up more.
I agree in free faction transfers to alliance will help, many won’t want to re-level or be behind but will take a free faction change with friends to get their queuetime down.
Don’t offer faction change in any other circumstances either its purely a population control tool.

So you want racial buffs for ally and nerf for horde ones to make more people go alliance?
If so that will be a no for me. Most wont reroll at this point. It is to much effort to completely restart a new char.
No I want each race to get second active racial ability that would be on shared CD with their original one. Horde should get copies of Alliance active racials and vice versa, so any faction will have access to all of thouse active abilities.
From there on you can make Merc mode where all PvPers are gathered in common pool and then distributed to matches filling team “Blue” who are going to have Alliance races appearances and team “Red” who will look like a Horde races.
To be honest xartt is right you would be best just to remove them completely and have a level playing field.

Removal of racials means nerfing and that is worse than giving an option. If there would be 2 racials, but on shared CD using one would make you play as if you were the Horde and using other would count as if you played like Alliance. It doesn’t bring anything ground new and breaking difficulty of original game.
Blizzard allready opened Pandora’s box and not implementing FvF will just make Horde PvPers quit. My suggestion is offering them low queues, Alliance reason to stay Alliance and some of Horde even reason to try faction reroll for bonuses system would offer to low pop faction.
How does that nerf anything? All it means is an undead rogue will have the same effect as a human and a dwarf priest will have same abilities as an undead priest then players picks race is only for aesthetics PvP should always be a level playing field.
Then you have the problem of the long bg queue times and the negative effects of being on the lower faction balance.now there is no gains to be had for PvP and PvE the only thing stopping players accepting a free transfer is nobody likes being on the lower faction population that’s why you give them bonuses like rep, honor or any other small change that makes it attractive enough to make the move and players will take it heck I’m sure guilds would take it.
True you will have some that won’t due to love for their faction but many would definitely take the switch even for a small gain players have proven that over the course of vanilla to now even the horde fotm rerollers have proven that since start of tbc.

No retail mercenary mode either you put back hordes versus hordes and let them play each others as much as they want or we timegate you and off zone/don’t tag in bg and so since old retail mercenary need some Alliance to start you will face the consequences !
You hordes did not level your char as an Alliance with the hardship most of us had to suffer on many realm, I do not fight with hordes ! NOT even for 30 honor points !
We are not going to let them sabotage our bg and/or afk leeching honor and marks and their countless reroll to gear ! I rolled Alliance, I fight and win or lose with Alliance players only !
You’re lucky Kaivax is bright and saw it coming or since retail mercenary needs some Alliance players to start , you’re gonna suffer the biggest time gating you ever saw ! Hordes versus hordes or go home !
The war effort boxes are a joke. Not only do you gain basicly nothing in them you dont even get pvp oriented items. I do not need more mag’har grainbread. Make the boxes give honor or marks or something that increases the amount of honor/hour we get. Or even better. drop the boxes and give alliance some sort of % increase hp in pvp buff to balance the odds.
can we have free transfer alliance to horde so game be balance?
