blizzard needs to add a legendary quest for the death knights the 101 steps to rebuilding frostmourne but its exclusively takes place in everyoneâs favorite expansion shadowlands 
and to make it more fun its ilvl syncâed shadowlands for that exstra challanging goodness that people seem to crave

Hate to break it to you: First weeks BoEs were like over 1M gold (1.5 if they dropped with socket). I donât think your problem is actually the cost of it, as the fact that wow token is a thing. 1M gold is one day of m+ boosting for some of my guildies (which btw, is legal now in game). We already stacked the mats for 3 leggos in bank. I donât see the issue being about legandary at all here.
You said you wanted it to be hard and so on. Why not suggesting to put it only as a mythic raid drop, that way it will actually be harder to be obtained? Oh waitâŚif they do that, it will be a riot. Because people want it hard to be obtained, but still they want it from the easiest difficulty ever (hence the fact that it will drop from LFR, which doesnât even make sense at all, as it is a legendary).
So your title, is somehow a bait. Itâs a shell to say that wow token is a bad thing, but has nothing to do with the legendary itself.
It couldâve been fixed by having to farm materials that are unique to this quest line, and cannot be sold on the AH.
As I already said multiple times (but some people are not willing to understand, and they think I want it for free), Iâm NOT against the idea of having to put a lot of effort into getting something so powerful and cool. I actually like the idea of having to grind a lot for a legendary, because it furthers improves itâs âvalueâ, and uniqueness.
What Iâm against is, itâs the idea of some people buying it will real money. Which shouldâve been easily prevented by having to farm mats that canât be sold as I said.
Thereâs nothing wrong with it dropping on LFR, it has a much lower drop chance there.
Imo, legendaries along the style of the MoP cloaks and rings were perfect. Everybody could work towards them, the higher you pushed, the faster it went.
With relying on drop chance, even with bad luck protection, you could see the axe drop right at the end of the patch or still not see it.
That said, Iâll be just farming the axe drop on my retridin like everyone else, itâs not like I hate the current system.

Well let me say this little lizard. People have asked for a more meaningfull way to get a legendary instead of the evoker op weapon. So blizzard put actually a qeust behind it. So people ask and blizzard listened. So yes their actions are justified.
Imagine the pain fury warriors feel when they have to buy mats for 2 of those axes.
Only way people are millionaires is by playing the AH or botting.
Not everyone is into stock trading.
Isnât it a quest so you can only get one?

I can guarantee that after a while everyone and their mother will have it⌠and not because of WoW token.
I am actually happy I donât gave legendary weapon this expansion as hunter because I will avoid the grind to get it and feel satisfied with what I have already.
I still remember 9.1 when every weapon I got felt bad because it wasnât Sylvanasâ bow. I donât miss these days one bit.
