The Price for the axe is ridiculous. It should never be the case for a legendary that hard to get in the first place. Stupid.
To the op, look into gold making videos, I can recommend penguin gold making(just type on yt that). There is also cobra skin that is at 30k now, if you have few alts, you can try (drop rate is nerfed though). Making gold is not as hard as you think. Iâm making lots of gold without any farming.
I also just looked at the materials and would advice against buying them now, those materials went up in price after patch release. If anything, they will go down. Those materials are used in many recipes, they donât resolve around the axe and itâs literally a niche. Most likely those materials will go down in price, not all. Glow spores wonât, Resonant crystal, orders might go down. Cobra skin is hard to tell, since drop rate is awful, itâs not hard to get cobra skin yourself.
The matts are high in price not because of the axe, look in how many recipes/patterns those materials are used. Itâs a bigger market than just some axeâŚ

Personally I agree with this, especially if itâd be related quest flavour items to the legendary itself. âJust matsâ is a rather boring solution compared imho.
When I played Classic it was fun, as a guild, to contribute to someoneâs legendary. I can imagine in retail that may be the same when players are part of a guild. Quest items could still have that effect tho, in that sense mats are not the holy grail.

Also many people did not find it compelling gameplay to be playing the âfacebook minigameâ on multiple alts.
I only found out about the gold thing towards the end of WoD (just a few months before Legion) and but still ended up making somewhere in the ballpark of 1m gold. In Legion i only had 4 characters that i ran the mission tables with and made ~2.5 milion gold.
It was definitely tedious, but only took like 5 minutes of âworkâ each day.
Nah, you could have made an absurd amount of gold just playing normally at the start of DF from gathering profession alone. I made somewhere between 20-30k gold a day, for the first few weeks of the expansion, without actively farming. Just from picking up any ores and herbs i found along the way.
Gathering materials (and especially awakened elements) were insanely profitable the first couple of weeks of the expansion. A single Awakened Order sold for ~3k gold and only took a few minutes to farm. KhazâGorite ore sold for ~1k gold each. Even normal Draconium Ore lvl3 got close to 100g each. Meaning if you found a Order infused Rich Serevite or Draconium gathering node you could get 1-3k gold from just that single node, with some luck.
Herbalism was equally as stupid. Maybe even a bit more since they are the only ones that got Decay infused nodes. Which was the second (is?) most profitable Awakened Element, after Order.
Enchanting and Jewelcrafting was also super profitable. Lvl 3 enchants went for 50-100k a pop on my realm. And lvl3 gems went for 5-8k each as well.
Tailoring could make Azureweave and Chronocloth bolts. Both of which were selling for ~12-18k each.
Even things like the community cooking event could net you ~80-100k gold if you managed to get one of the rare crafting embellishments. Forget what itâs called. Flavor Pocket or something. And with a few alts you could almost guarantee to get one every other week.
When March of this year rolled around i had made just shy of 3 milion gold, just from playing the game and selling anything i found on the AH.
These days though itâs pretty much impossible to make anything of substance off gathering professions as bots have taken over the market completely. Right now a lvl2 Serevite Ore sells for 54 silver on my realm.
I think i have made less than 100k gold since 10.1. A number that could have been made in an hour with a miner fully speced into [Mastering the Elements] less than a year ago.
That said, if you have a skinner you can still make some bank. Obsidian Cobraskins go for ~30k gold last i checked.

Yeah it was and thankfully we had addons for autowin WoD and SL tables made insane money tbh. Legion was not to bad but BFA was the worse.
