I find it difficult to believe the Delves “hotfix” is intended. Wipe one after another with 600+ ilvl party in lvl8, with Brann being lvl35. The minibosses throughout have a partywipe damage, spider poison ticks (cannot interupt) for 2mil a pop, swarm from some of the minibosses you just have to outrange, unhealable, I could go on. Good one over there. Luckily managed to do a good few when it was doable, otherwise I can already see people pulling their hair out in despair xD

No, you were not lucky to do a good few when they were doable, you were lucky to do a good few when they were completely trivial in groups and not at all in line with the item reward track offered.

The problem I’m having with this is that people who got lucky with getting maps now have multiple heroic track items, while the rest of us just get the short end of the stick. I don’t blame the players for this (it’s not their fault), but it doesn’t feel good.

This game really needs better testing.

Imagine all the issues that could have been prevented from occurring in a case of delves being solo only since start.

Any testing at all (A few interns on a test server would have been enough) would have revealed the current mess within 10 minutes (Counting flying time from Dornogal to the Delve), white melee attacks from trash mobs are squishing people now, this is getting ridiculous.

The issue is the lack of proper testing and proper tuning, not the group size.

tried a 5 man and we had 4.4-4.8m hp. Attacks were either 1 shotting or chunking for 3m+ health.

Thats not right. Thats like above +10 in m+ scaling. Should not be the case.

All for making solo easier, grouping harder but this is insane and someone messed up somewhere.

T8 delve gives hero track 3/6 which corresponds to Mythic +7 and it takes less time, so from this perspecitve we can even compare it to Mythic +8 or +9 based on the reward track offered. So yes, it should have like Mythic +8 or even +9 scaling on Tier 8.

Remember delves are supposed to be end game content, was it not sus they offered good gear and were doable wearing 560 items?

You still can. I did a 7 on my VDH at 564. 7s seem easier now but I can’t beat the mini bosses on 8. They hit like they should be the final boss of the expansion.

Blizzard probably want people doing 7 then spending time upgrading the gear with crests and stones.

the +8 delves are just as easy as they were yesterday if you go in solo
yes they Killed group Delves wich is kinda the point… making them trivial by bringing a full group just sucked the fun out of them.
I just did DreadPit in 13min 0deaths and Earthcrawl Mines in 24min 2deaths on +8 no problem.
You kinda need to play the Game to get to the end and its really fun to figure out how to get through without just turning your brain off and zerging your way to the end.

Not yet, but I did all my delves solo including T8 and it felt about right for the rewards offered.

If solo delves are harder now than yesterday, then they have messed up something with those hotfixes that were targeted at group play and it will be fixed for solo players again.

Eh, did some post “its impossible” changes, it sure is a LOT harder. This is a good thing.

As was said, you’re mad you can’t get free loot anymore.

Still really depends on the class. Just did Earthcrawl Mines, and it’s really really hard with a 30sec kick. Shadowbolt hits me really hard, I can’t stun or fear, just interrupt it once every 30s. Basically I can wait for every bigger trashcamp for all CDs + potion to be ready to not die in it, because I need the deaths for trial and error at the endboss…

You’re right.
These were trivial for groups until the hotfix overnight/late yesterday.

But as others are kicking back - the hotfix is a complete and utter cluster duck (a gaggle of ducks) - that has probably killed Delves for Friday, and likely the weekend, as they probably wont want to make any further changes on a Friday.

And as you say - being honest here - people running these in groups to fill their vault rows with high level rewards - were/are the ones defending the ease with which they were able to do these when grouped before the hotfix because they know they’ve gamed the system - more so now there is a hotfix to change the level of challenge those groups were experiencing.

I have a theory, that the person responsible for tuning Delves was angry that Microsoft laid off a bunch of their colleagues yesterday, so they’re taking their anger out on us instead by making the Delves punish the players and ruin our fun.

I found it odd to clear the delves 11 on the 1st day they are relased. So I agree with doing anything harder. And now delves are actually fun in group. Much more fun than doing it solo. Its as if you had 4 more mini-dungeons per week.

Also, I tried the Zorval boss yesterday and that guy slaps on a 5 man party. As it should be.

But I still think this change is irrelevant. The ONLY reason its relevant this week is because M+ is not out yet ! And M+ is not out yet because it would hurt the RTWF… which I think its a ridiculous reason…

Next week delves will be forgoten. With, or with out the change.

Well… not forgoten. But only relevant to those that like that content. The “gear farmers” would have gone back to doing M+7/8 like they always do.

filled my vault with lvl 8 delves yesterday. Have said since i started t8’s on weds that 5 man needed adjusting. Solo needed adjusting also.

But this is overkilling it considerably. Looks like the 20% nerf in solo went the other way in 5man. So everything has a 120% dmg buff. Which means copious amounts of one shots. More than even the high m+ keys will give.
