We talked about this already in other posts. Either you make Delves Solo only… as in you cannot even enter the Delve if you are in a party…
OR… you allow your “friends” to come with you and have some fun. So it should be possible to complete in a group.
Its conceptually impossible to have both at the same time. And im sure that the 2nd option will be the one they pick. Blizzard will never not allow you to play with your friends in a multi-player game.
Mmmmh, not perse, but it would require additional work on Blizzard’s part.
For instance: How about drops are nerfed in group mode. You can still have ‘fun’, but it’s not going to be the best option for gearing. Also: Have delve progress count way less in groups than for solo. Also: Remove Brann in groups; no leveling him in a group.
Not really sure whats your insistence on making it mandatory solo besides “if i cant group up then nobody should!”.
I am not going to preach the old fashionable “Its MMO so you MUST group” lecture which you heard it 100x times already and I NOT against lone wolf playstyle in general.
Yet in MMO, grouping up should be encouraged not outright denied…otherwise whats the point of the MMO part? Just make it offline single player game and be done with it?

The whole notion of Delves as a solo endgame pillar is being ruined by it.
Overal; sure. NOT in a system that’s specifically aimed towards giving solo players endgame progression of their own finally. Because that defeats that entire notion.
You want to play Solo because you dont want to go through the extra steps of finding people, having to interact with people, ect… which is fair.
But if I do that extra work of having to deal with people, I should get an extra reward. You dont have to keep a Rio score, you dont have to keep a minimum ilvl/performance, and you dont have to deal with stupid DDs/Healers/Tanks that do whatever they want.
And that is why Group Content will always give you more and better loot. IMO.
Sort of : I have to deal with the bad part of people, but I also have to get the good part.
I just value the good more than the bad. And you value the bad more than the good.
But you cant have the good, with out the bad. That is unfair IMO.
I am dead certain Blizzard introduced delves as progression pillar for world content guys, who dont like organized raids/m+ and stuff not outright loners?
Edit: And catering to solo play as a “main audience” in mmo game? It would be the same as offering alcoholic drinks…in an AA meeting

With most systems in WoW, I would agree with your view.
But NOT for this one. Because it was specifically made with a function in mind and that function is being undermined by having the group option there.
Its not ment as a solo endgame progression. Lynlia said it best so far :
This. Key word there : Organized Groups. You can have disorganized groups as well.
And this also includes Solo Content. But not exclusevely.

people are “mad” because no one wants to actually do delves. they are only being done because its forced upon us this first week, and now its even more annoying than before.
Increased health and dmg done by the NPCs don’t make it harder it makes it foolish, harder is when it has some mechanic to overcome, not to endure 20 minute mindless fight as a solo player, or even as a group.
Yeah and next week you will be “forced” to do m+ then you will be “forced” to do mythic raids.
Jesus…forced this forced that. Do you get forced to log into WoW as well? What happened to simply playing for fun? If people who log in to WoW are “forced” than damn…does Blizz have a global criminal empire who have hitmens in every courner?
I know what it states and that’s a mistake Blizzard made. That’s what I’m saying.
Listen to Ion’s delve deep dive speech again. He clearly says that this is a new endgame pillar specifically for solo / world content players.

If it hits for less, then you bring 5 DDs and rolf-stop whatever you are killing skipping all mechanics. Or you take tank+healer and you literally pull the whole instance and AoE everything down.
If it hits for more, you bring tank+healer and skip mechanics.
And if you cant do it in a party, then its not content you can do “with your friends” anymore is it ?
You cant fight the holy trinity. Its exists because specialization of tasks is something that simply works better. Not only in WoW, but in the RL too. Like the Army, or Production lines…
