Thread title is “Thank you for creating challenging content. JK… What a joke!”
And I only saw people complaining about some classes being unable to cope with the quantity of interrupts needed for bosses - but not difficulty per se. Unless I missed the threads you’ve seen.
As a shaman i have no problems doing t8 by myself. I did it on 574 ilvl, the waterworks and the sinkhole. If those are that doable i doubt the other ones are too bad. Once you learn how to make Brann tank and just support him patiently, it’s really not bad. In fact im having a lot of fun in delves cause for once you need to approach something strategically and not just zerg in without any clue on what to do (and get away with it).
Some people fun is when content is harder so reward is actually a reward.
And some people fun is when you just go through content with no diff and collect loot. blizzard is unable to design game around these to opposites
one side is always going to be pissed
I am well aware, alright? But some imbeciles on here go on about saying how lvl8’s are end game content. When in fact blizzard interface at the delve entrance clearly says 600ilvl recommended - all while once inside, there’s incredible disparity in the damage the party would receive from even autoattacks, let alone spell damage and minibosss abilities while inside the Delve… I guess it’s m+ next week and we’ll never look back at this thread. oh well…
True, but trash mobs shouldn’t be one shotting players in appropriate level gear. The scaling is clearly off, and some of the mechanics are unnecessarily punishing.
Now, if Delves are supposed to be a comparable alternative to M+ in challenge, difficulty and reward for groups of players, fine, but that doesn’t really make sense and even then, trash really shouldn’t be one shotting players or two shotting with auto-attacks.
Personally, I think Delves should be challenging solo content that allows those who don’t do M+ or Raids to gear up beyond what was possible in previous expansions. Balancing/tuning Delves around that should be possible, I’d even be happy with them to lock to them to solo or duo to make it possible. They shouldn’t be trying to compete with other group content for difficulty really, especially as they’ll never give as good rewards.
Delves don’t need to please everyone, Blizzard just needs to pick the group they want to please with them, rather than trying to cater to all crowds.
Also, the tuning from tier to tier is off as well, there is a huge leap in difficulty from 6 to 7, they need to make earlier tiers slightly harder, so its a more gradual ramp up in difficulty.
It changed, promise! It did say it was impossible earlier.
And for science I just soloed a +8 on this. I had to cherry pick one (Dread Pits). I died once on the end boss due to eating a frontal while greeding a channel. I also killed Brann twice while fading off aggro - but that was just a bonus!
All in all it felt ok but caster bosses will destroy a priest so thats a no-go.
And let me tell you… even with the buffs its still orders of magnitude easier for a party. Not brain dead easy as it was, but still much easier.
Simply because you have a tank + healer + DDs. So all those “one-shots” dont one-shot the tank. Maybe chunk off 50% of his life. Which he heals back in no time.
And all that AoE that leaves you with 5% of your life ? Not a problem if you have a healer with CDs that power-heals you back to 100% in 4s…
Also… bosses need more kicks ? No issues. 5 people with 5 kicks is more than enough …
What I want to say is that, in the end, grouping up will ALWAYS be an advantage. Its a no brainer.
The only way is to make it comparable to Solo play is to make Delves impossible to do when you group up. Like tanks getting 1-shot with CDs on… Or an AoE that hits for 10M or something like that… Or simply baring parties from going in…
