How do minorities generally treated? Extra privileges? Forcing employers hiring people just because of their skin color or sexuality? Since the 50s the society constantly making subtle steps to demolish racism and homophobia and they did a great job, but in the last few years liberals and such did everything to ruin it by keeping racism and homophobia alive and destroying years of progression. Why do you people have to push it so hard? Its not the 40-50s where people got lynched for their sexuality or for their race and still you guys are behave like you have some rough time just because you aren’t the main topic 0-24. Yes Im just like you, want to live a normal chill life, if you like your own gender good job do what everyone else does and keep it between the 4 wall. All you guys are doing with all these riots and movements and forced diverse is just giving more and more power to the right wing, last time when they become so popular we had a world war.

I will assume they are a gay couple because they are shown as two males in the Shaowlands.

If you take a straight couple, then one of them is trans, so now they are the same gender, you now have a gay/lesbian couple. The fact that they were ‘straight before’ doesn’t matter.

But in their current forms they are genderless, so they can’t be called gay the same.

But you decide that because they’re aliens “male might not mean what you think it means” despite the fact for all intents and purposes, they use the words exactly as we understand them.
“But male might mean genderless as in angels” okay, so rather than take the widely held assumption of “male = gendered term” you’re going to assume that it is just as likely it means the very specific term you understand it may mean instead. On what grounds?

They talk of a relationship they talk of marriage and they talk of emotional attachment. It’s very likely it means male as in gendered.
Angels use male pronouns but do not talk about being married to people, nor being in a relationship with them, not being romantically attached to them.

So where’s the similarity? Why assume your definition is just as likely as the obvious one? Technically you may be correct, but everything in the game so far suggests you’re wrong. You’re assuming the least likely outcome with no evidence to support it simply because it’s a potential explanation and you have the audacity to attack the logic of others?

Let’s say my garden is attacked in the night, and small footprints that look like rabbits are there, and all my veggies are eaten. I know rabbits frequent the area, my neighbours report it as so. Your position is akin to suggesting that it’s logical to assume that actually rabbits may not have done it, but actually the Australian Cabbage Fox did it, as their footprints are identical to rabbits, despite there being not anecdotal evidence it was those foxes whatsoever and there are other signs that suggest it’s more likely it’s rabbits.

Like, you do you. But don’t sit there and think people are being silly for assuming male means the very commonly assumed definition rather than the incredibly specific one you have in mind that applies to a very specific sections of scripture and belief in a specific religion when there’s absolutely nothing to suggest it’s being used in that manner

Their form is a costume, it houses the soul, which is the sum of that which they are. That which loves, recognises and feels. That is the same

You’re essentially arguing their sexuality stems from their physical bodies and that because animals (with animal souls) don’t have sexuality per say, not do spirits presumebly, that these individuals (whom contain mortal souls) don’t have sexuality either.

No evidence to suggest that. They still talk of eachother in affectionate terms. Doesn’t strike me as they’re now magically genderless or consider themselves such. Even if they technically are (given they’re ghosts) they still consider each other partners and within a relationship of sorts. So for all intents in purposes it’s representation.

You may as well argue that just about every cartoon that represents love or whatever isn’t actually doing that because “technically animations can’t feel emotions”. Like I said you’re overcomplicating it for the sake of being contrary it seems.

Are they ghosts? Yes
Do ghosts have sex? Assuming no
Do ghosts have physical feelings? Assuming no.
Do they identify as a gender, yes
Do they identify as the same gender? Yes
Do they identify as loving each other? Yes
Congrats thats homosexual or bi or pan representation. Going “Actually they’re ghosts and ghosts don’t technically have gender so no it isn’t” is just being pedantic, especially when the game in question shows spirits as identifying themselves by genders and talking of romantic feelings and stuff all the freaking time.

Logic, seeing as it’s being throw around a lot, has a principle called the law of parsimony, you probably know it. All things being equal, the explanation with less explanations required is accepted

In this case we know:
They refer to themselves as males irrespective of what they actually are
They refer to each other as romantic companions.
The least convoluted explanation is “they’re gay or bi”

You instead suggest a different explanation that requires us to entertain notions we don’t see, and to entertain possibilities that are not given suggestible weight relying instead on open ended speculation. Logic is not on your side.

Logic is about what is reasonable, not about what could theoretically be possible no matter how convoluted it. Based upon what we know, assuming they’re gay or bi is a reasonable conclusion. Claiming they’re not isn’t unless you have a more sensible alternative (and we just don’t know is not one I’m afraid)

We already saw that they are souls of dead people that are reincarnated into other forms, removing the facto the need of biologicaly reproduce themself.

Incorrect. Being able to reproduce biologically is not what determines you having a gender or not. Unless you wish to go and tell the thousands upon thousands on infertile people in the world that they actually aren’t men or women.

No, this relationship is two people who are both agender. Gee, I’m pretty sure there’s a word for it when a relationship is two people of the same sex… what was it… oh! Gay.

I hate to tell you this, but most agender people who exist in real life would consider their attraction to someone who is not of the opposite gender as gay. You can very much so be gay if you have no gender.
