We’ve all seen the myriad of threads from tanks complaining about DDs, healers or groups in general. I think it’s high time we get some much needed pay back and let those snooty tanks have it for once by sharing our stories and frustation about that idito tank we all know and love.

We stood still not doing anything at the start of a dungeon for like 2 minutes - then I asked ‘‘Are we going?’’, and they said they were waiting for me.
I forgot I was the tank.

“that idiot tank” is the tank that rushes ahead pulling everything and then complaining upon death, which show quite the little insight as - more often than not - the healer and the other dps were not running straight behind as expected and/or has issues with mana and aggro management.

Done that as well - i was the idiot tank years back. got in a group for Scarlet Monastery, happily slapping all the mobs until i was reminded that i was the tank. Explained that i was new, a good laugh at my expense followed then we completed it. I remember the healer teaching me basic tanking on that run, in the days when we all helped each other instead of raging all the time

Always make me laugh.
Then this one was a bit of a “??? what is he even doing?”
We all got inside a mists, we were going to do a +15. He just runs straight ahead and pulls stuff. We just stand there a few seconds being all confused and then we kill the mobs and he just starts running forward to the next pack and someone asks where he’s going, it’s not a normal mythic we’re doing but a keystone and that was the response, lol.
This tank… He just stops attacking suddenly and just runs away and takes a look at the view and we wipe. This was legion timewalking.
We were 2% short.
Guess what. We needed more %.

That idiot tank who keeps running around the boss in circles - even though there is no AOE or anything to dodge - constantly turning its back away from the Rogue.

It can also work the other way around. Your in a pug and do a +15, people in the group even with horrific affixes, dosen’t want the tank to pull 2 groups at a time cus of wanting to time that crap. So tank have no choice but to in the end huge giga pull many groups at a time. Thats not only the tank to blame, but everyone in general in the group!
But no one ever thinks about that in pug life 
This was first or second week of SL, so luckily it was just an M0 and not a key.
I joined a pug group for Mists. It’s me, and 2 groups of 2 players who are friends. just before the 2nd boss the tank says he needs to go to toilet.
20 mins later we are still waiting for him to come back, and everyone is moaning about waiting and things beginning to turn toxic. Eventually the tank starts moving again, but is just running around like crazy. It turns out the tanks friend had yelled out over discord and the Tanks GF had picked up and taken over whilst the Tank was still in the toilet.
Needless to say it all became pretty toxic, pretty fast and with all kinds of swearing and caps lock.
It was hilarious, but I didn’t need anymore loot from the dungeon, so I cut my losses and went somewhere else.
But seriously, if you need to take 20 minutes to go for a number two. Do it in your own time and not someone else’s.

I joined a group earlier that was 4 premades and one guy is afk, I ask what’s going on after 2 minutes or so and they say he’s doing number two. Like, why even put the group up if it’s not going to start any time soon? LOL.

Apart from the usual stupid mistakes, I’ve had some bizarre issues myself.
One week ago, I noticed my mouse wheel was too hard. And eventually mid-key, it was getting stuck so I couldn’t select tormented powers, I couldn’t use like 5 important skills etc (including provoke).
We finished the run in time but I know they had to be thinking how dumb I was.
The thing is, my dog is shedding hair and the mouse wheel was full of it…and I could tell because it’s not the first time happening but how could I say that to my group?

I hate tanks that have no idea on the dungeon route,and I am not talking about optimized one, just a decent normal route. In S2 I wasted almost 50 min on a Druid that was literally lost into a 15 PF, 1800 score so you would expect the tank to have at least a viable route.

Yesterday i had tank that was DECENT but he did like 2 silly mistakes
first was he let the beasts in HoA stack him to 10
and he didn’t used any deff CD or the best part was he didn’t used phial from kyrian
and when he died he said MB
i was kind a confused by that
Second mistakes was before High Adjudicator Aleez.
there are 2 big gargoyles and he knew we have venthyr
and instead of pulling them to boss he let mage do it and mage died 
No! No! Don’t hurt us please, we got enough beatings from all the dungeon elites alrea-

Oh, this is about tanks? Nevermind. I’ll just patch them up so they’ll get back to tanking after reading all the “hate” directed at them.
Don’t expect a 100% success rate, which means you may encounter even less tanks from this moment on

I tanked a m+ in bfa UR and I forgot I had no gear on under as I was summoned to Underrot as I was running around naked in goldshire and I popped into bear form before accepting the summon and attempted a +10 as a naked guardian bear.

Did a 14 spires earlier, tank thought it was a brill idea to pull everything on the first island. 3 packs, a goliath and 2x affix bosses. We some what pulled it off for first 15 seconds with 10+ orbs spawning at a time, then the pally tank lost all threat (bubbled) and we got splattered. Healer left and the tank had the cheak to say “I’m so sick of groups not killing orbs” lol. We missed 2 but that certainly wasn’t the issue haha
