Is this event only for Dragonflight now? Thought it was all versions originally?
we donât know what it is, all this informs us of is the date
Imma be reading all the spoilers.
Then again, i really dislike them keeping the patch a secret.
Noone force you to do it.
Have not seen any changes to the event so it should still be available for all version of WoW and I am guessing any level character too.
The other thread had a lot of negative comments about the event so it got shut down. or so it appearsâŚ
I suspect a pirate invasion along the lines of the Zandalari Troll invasions at the end of Cata.
Zones will be attacked and weâll have to do something (Time Rift flying around as a herd killing pirates or Legion Invasion like WQs and a scenario).
It will hint at things weâll see in War Within.
What else could it be?
The patch / event is not out and people are already crying . What a crap forum community .
You donât want spoilers ? > Get a good night sleep and do something else .
Will it have bugs ? > Yes it will , just like any new release since the dawn of WoW regardless of how many people tested it . Just wait a day or two for the hotfixes to row in . It is even better that is released in US first , because there is a chance the bugs will be fixed before it comes to EU .
Will this be good ? > Who knows , but at least they are trying something new . Something WoW has needed for quite a while . WoW became THE MMORPG , because it tried new and bold things . The last few years have been a bunch of devs who copy paste from other MMOâs , while keeping it as general as possible , so not to offend anyone , and than wander why the numbers keep going down . Trying new things is good .
Am I overexcited about it ? > Not really , as there is nothing but old experience to base it on . But who knows maybe this one will be good . At the very least , it does not deserve the bashing it is getting in this thread .
Oh and btw if we are talking pirates ⌠I wander if it has something to do with this :
Correct, but then we scratch our heads as to why people are flocking to other games.
The hopium is going hard.
^^ I agree
This is going to be a secret event if you are a US player, any other region itâs going to be public info. Itâs just shorter datamining period. It is unreasonable to expect players to barricade themselves from the internet.
It is possible for them to do launches all at the same time. But they have chosen not to.
itâs about the respect we get as customers. also it will be all over the gaming news & social media so no itâs not about not playing it
I understand the patch deployment at different times because the alternative would be to have maintenance in one of the regions during peak hours and that is a big no-no. But they could release the patch with the event disabled and then enable it at the same time in every region, just like expansion releases.
Why, should I stay off social media just because Blizzard chose to not release this event globally?
Iâm all for content to be kept secret but seriously, whatâs the point if one part of the community spoils it for the rest of the community?
No testing.
Limited time event.
No global release.
Iâm sorry but what are these neon haired hydraâs at Blizzard doing?
Youâd think Blizz would learn from the many many many mistakes over the past development of this game but it seems no one is keeping track and we get the same bollocks over and over.
Or do you just hit reset with every new hire?
Hype: 0.
Why should I avoid all social media, gaming sites, YouTube, etc. just because Blizzard dropped the ball on this.
They kept the patch details secret (rightly so) to create hype but it seems that that hype is only aimed at NA customers, why? Do other players not pay for this game too?
If this was a global release and I couldnât play because of work/school then fair enough but this just feels a bit pants to be honest.
If people leave game for this, then i doubt they wanted play this game for real.
Other mmos also have limited time events.
Name them and the events and when those rewards arenât available after.
Only because a global release of the event could crash the infrastructure if 5000 world wide active subscribers all log in at once.
