Sure, but for a lot of activities or elements of the game that accessibility ‘threshold’ has to be low enough to assure the % of ‘active users’ of that activity is high enough to make it worth developing that content in the first place.
Hence LFR being a thing. Without it, raiding might not even exist in WoW today (or at best be limited to maybe 1 raid per expansion).

I’m not a casual player in my ‘time commitment’. I’m a casual player in the type of content I enjoy and yes, I agree that in an mmorpg ‘time spent’ is an important commodity and should be rewarded.
