The Baine love thread

Baine felt to be more of a member of the Alliance than the Horde.

Iā€™m glad the horde have aligned with the Taurens. From now on weā€™ll be having steak twice a week.

I agree. I will also add the Horde soldiers lost during siege of Ogrimmar, when Garrosh was the Warchief.

Unfortunately we have this at Blizzard:

ā€œMy team believes that continuity exists to enhance a story, not to tie the hands of creatorsā€ - Sean Copeland, Historian Supervisor

Cheers.

Not to mention the lives lost on both sides during the wars since then, inculding but not limited to several End of the World scenarios and the Return of the Legionā€¦
But as you said:

ā€œā€¦some men arenā€™t looking for anything logical, like money. They canā€™t be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.ā€

Maybe thatā€™s why he could make a great ambassador. If I recall it right, the fact the two factions did manage to make up by the end of BfA (in the war campaign) started with his act of returning one of the Proudmoore family members to Jaina, the one whose body was stolen from the sea and raised to undeath.

I do like Baine, but many Horde leaders felt like they justā€¦ linger around in SL. I mean, they were fighting during the Maw intro but after that? Got captured, we saved them, and they just sat down doing nothing in Oribos  him being a prime example. I do forgive him for this one because itā€™s either trading blows, or this, and we know Baine prefers peace above all.

Not only for story equity reason one side canā€™t completely eradicate the other but Varian saw through the jaina flip floping scehme telling him: the king what she wanted him to do out of hatred and avoided the bait.

He instead stuck his sword on the ground and asked for a true truce again first before and in front of all the horde council even though th stake and risk were highā€¦

Not only the consequences would have been terrible again for both faction but Varian wouldnā€™t have survived the ordeal though he would have taken one or more horde leader in his fall.

That is the key moment where he has finally let go of his inner demon realising being a warmonger would only lead to his and all his kingdom downfall like hellscream.

Pft please this civil wars only make us stronger it lets us get ride of the warmongers who cause strife is discord within the horde and prevent us from moving like a single unit to defeat the Alliance

Yeah!
All the nine survivors now in harmony!
Respect that Night Elf!

never the night elves must pay for their banishment of our ancestors at least the ringleader of this decision is meeting his end in dragonflight sacrificed to bring ysera back

imagine trading your most powerful chess piece to bring back some overrated lizard

His powerlevel is debatable
I mean he almost died when got an axe in his backā€¦
Throw an axe to a dragon and it will shrug it off
A former Aspect with the wisdom of the ages, knowledge of the Dream - and the Nightmare, thanks to her little detour - who is the sister and favorite of the Queen of the Dragonsā€¦?
Worth at least five if not ten of that most powerfull chesspiece. It was a good trade.
Heck, I even would have trade him for a regular dragon
Or would just killed him for his crimes

Malfurionā€™s the strongest mortal Azeroth has.

A arrow in the back counts the same for everyone. Whether its the back of an elf or the eye of the dragon.

Yes
Yes he is
A mortal
And shot an arrow to the back of a dragon . well obviously not in its visage form - and it bounces off
The point is, Druid or not, even Jaina or Khadgar is above himā€¦ at least Iā€™m sure about that
But personalyl I think even Thalryssa is stronger
Anyhow, it was a good trade

Baine would have been named Warchief had it not been for Muhā€™Zela, Iā€™m certain of that. Through all the Hordes trials he stood firm in the belief and knowledge of what Thralls Horde was supposed to be. He stood firm against the worst of us, and was a beacon of hope for Horde players who knew that Thralls Horde stood for strength, honour and compassion. This all being said, it was a Grimtotem who caused all, if not most, of the Hordes problems when she poisoned Garroshsā€™ Weapon. So not all Tauren, etc etc.

Agree
Without question, he would have been totally the new leader

Not true.

Theyā€™re both mortal.

Malfurion is proven to be the strongest Azeroth has.

Shoot it in the dragons eye and heā€™s equally doomed.

Proven by whoā€¦ exactly? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Lore? Do you even know who he is? lol

Show me where
And yes, I do know who Malfurion is. He is viewed as a prophet and savior, and without doubt, the greatest druid ever to live, maybe the wisest and most powerful of all the druids.
And usually gets the ā€œWorf-treatmentā€, that is, when you want to show how scary the enemy is, it will off Malfurion
His track record of being captured, put in coma or similar is considerableā€¦
Show me where exactly the lore says, Malfurion Stromrage is the stronges mortal on Azeroth.
He is powerfull, yes, but his greatest feat was maybe when he prevented Darkshoreā€™s landmass from being shattered and swept into the ocean after the Cataclysm but he done it with the help of others and donā€™t forget, even with all of his powers, he was unable to control the Pack Form, nearly attacking Cenarius himself, has been defeated by the Shade of Xavius and the list goes on; he is powerfull yes, but he is not infallibleā€¦ that axe and several other things proves that.
If Azshara is still considered a Mortal, she is more powerfull, and Iā€™m sure Jaina, Thalryssa or Khadar or any Aspect even their weakened state is more powerfull than him

I dont think soā€¦ Malfurion is the most poweful druid on Azeroth, he could easily beat Thalyssara.

Through Malfurionā€™s guidance our people were able to defeat the burning legion and save our world, you might despise him but have your ever wondered if we had lost the war? The legion would have conquered our world and continue their reign of destruction.
