If lotuses are cheap, other stuff are most likely cheap aswell. That means farming gold is slower. Even if black lotus was 300g, that would still be less than 6 hours of farming for a lot of classes. It’s not a problem. The only problem is that people want to use them on a weekly basis for trivial content.
You are asking blizzard to change the game due to changing player behaviour. There are very good reasons to oppose that.
As long as they are available, yes. There is pretty much always plenty of Black lotus/flasks available on the ah. That means that there is enough for anyone willing to put in the effort to get them. In addition, players probably have thousands of black lotuses stocked up for later raids, so there is definitely plenty to go around at the moment.
The PvE is too easy, that’s why people try to find fun and difficulty in self-imposed challenges like speedrunning or parsing. You need flasks for both.
I really didn’t want to discuss the need for flasks in this thread. I’ve quoted Kaivax before, it seems that BL are an issue that’s on their radar. I just wanted to bring more attention to it because the situation is now worse than before layering.
Speedrunning is less than 10% of Classic guild. If you want to speedrun, you are probably a hardcore player, so you have time to farm gold and buy a lotus. Period. Oh, and not to mention speedrunning is often done 1 or 2 time per month when Darkmoon fair is up, I don’t know any single guild who flask the whole raid every week kek.
For the rest who don’t speedrun, flask are used for tank only. That mean guilds need at least from 1 to 3 lotus per week for the current raid (BWL).
If every raid member give 20g on guild bank every week, guild leader can buy them, and problem is solved.
