The casual player content in WoW is way too easy

I like it easy. I play to relax not for a challenge. You want challenge do the end game challenging stuff or go play Classic.

Wow is extremely toxic game compared to many other mmo’s especially on instanced content part only other mmo that is even more toxic that i have played is Star Trek online where you just have to close down chat window if you do not want to watch constant hate or be part of American maga crap.

I would not call classic challenging the world is not that hard its just way WAY more tedious to do when 99% of the quests are collect crap from mobs that only 0,1% possess the quest item you need.

Yeah but whatever you do, feels meaningful in classic. I preffer doing these dumb simple quests in classic than the “complex” but dull quests in the retail that have no weight. Killing a pig in classic is more fun than killing a rare in retail.

The “hard” part of leveling in classic is something I already pointed out:
Stamina

In classic, 90% of the game was leveling because it took long:
not because it was hard, it was STAMINA built.
You have to grind 50 gorillas to get 1 sinew, maybe more! (Unless you were lucky).
Can you do it without falling asleep, or get bored and make a stupid mistake because you got bored?
Compared to other MMO’s on the market, WoW was forgiving.
It was as simple as other MMO’s, but it provided less pushback when you died to your stamina running out or you getting distracted, or when the monkey brain (We ALL have this instinct/happening by the way, none of us go without this) went “Oh look shiney” and forgot that there might be danger.

It’s not hard killing that wolf.
You are either:
1: Too low level (No scaling)
2: Have zero gear (Either neglected picking any up, or had bad RNG, or skipped loads of things)
3: You’re asleep

It’s not hard.
The wolf auto-attacks you to death because of 1 of above reasons.

The fact that this isn’t universal knowledge nearly 20 years later and people still argue the contrary is extremely concerning.

Still harder than retail, where you can kill a pack of wolves, just by facerolling

Nah. You actually use your whole character kit to kill anything in classic. All the spells, proffesions, buffs, good rotation, cc, kite etc. In retail you just faceroll your 2 button rotation and you’re done. And that’s even the case with big elites/rares.

No such thing.

The difficulty is fine. You can create your own challenge if you want difficulty.
Having an OPTION for more difficulty would be fine. Forcing it on everyone, is not.

You never desing game around what players want. You desing game whats best for type of game you are trying to create thajn you hope there will be enough people enyojing your game. When you start designing game around what people want you just gonna ruin your game becouse most people just want more covinience and rewards.

Outside instanced group play? Can you?

I first thought that this is technically true, but misses a point, but now I’m not convinced. I have several level 60+s. If I take them out into the Dragon Isles, I have a choice between faceroll and impossible. There certainly are mobs - world bosses, the Rare-Elites, some non-scaling 70s - that will kill them immediately; they have no chance.

Everything else is faceroll.

And so it is all the way down the levelling chain.

Anyway, the point it misses is the fun element. The Trading Post Pet Battle challenge this month is to kill the four new tamers with a team containing two Dragonkin. I had fun with it! It didn’t take me more than an hour, but it was a fun hour. Pet Battles are generally not a challenge for me. I enjoyed doing each of the Family achievements. But as I remarked in the Discord, if I made up my own challenge rules for myself, like defeat all tamers using only pets beginning with the letter “A”, it might be a challenge, but it would not be fun.

So even if you could somehow create your own private challenges in levelling, when all the mobs are the same level as you, (and if you can think of a way to do that, please share, 'cos I can’t) would it be fun?

If you don’t think it’s fun, you don’t REALLY want challenge.
It’s something else you want. Maybe you want to ‘feel better than others’? By having things be more difficult such a thing is easier to accomplish.
I personally don’t think that such a thing is a good enough reason to make certain other players ‘suffer’.

And you can wear bad gear. You can die first and then go fight stuff with the resurrection debuff. You can forego talents and play without using any talent points.
There’s many more ways to make things harder FOR YOURSELF, if you wish to do so.

Is it fun? I don’t think so; but then again, I don’t think difficult stuff is fun, period.
Difficulty does not make something fun. It makes it a challenge. And for certain activities I just don’t need that in my gaming; I want to relax and have laid-back fun. Having world content be difficult would literally ruin the game for me, so I don’t want that to happen.

Having a choice to make things more difficult is fine. Increasing difficulty by default is not.

You have clearly not leveled a toon past the Bad-scaled lowbie level 10-13, without heirlooms or spamming dungeons, in the recent years…
