I used to affectionately call coworkers who are 4-5 years younger than me “kids” (i’m 29 now).
+1
This totally wrong 2:30:
24 July 2010
But this is totally alright:
0:15 to 0:17
3 August 2018
Blizzard approved.
Cheers.
Judging from US television this statment actually makes sense.
The amount of outrage in these forums about such a small thing is also “unneeded”.
The fact that it is new or has been there for 9 years has nothing to do with it.
War in itself is not as much of a problem (WW2 games are usually 12+) but more extreme war/violence themes usually call for a higher rating (modern CoD games are 16+).
I already pointed in my opinion the game should be 16+. But I still think people are looking for stuff to be offended by when making the line change such a big deal.
As people have pointed out, they are being absolutely hypocritical. Not to mention what Sylvanas calls Arthas in TFT.
It would be pretty interesting if the kid was below T rating and their complaint got a T rating thing changed.
Still they can remove it if they want to.
I stand by my point.
"Killing everything and mass-murdering with my kid is ok, some B word no… " - i would be worried about this parenting logic…
I honestly don’t care, so one of their kids said it’s out of place, so what? People are making a big deal out of it because it’s “iconic” when it is not really the case.
They didn’t make it a big deal, they just changed it. Players are the ones who made it a big deal.
Yes, because it’s perfectly fine seeing things altered because other’s got offended by it right ?
In your opinion the game should change because Blizzard cares about other people’s opinion right ?
See the double standards ?
Cheers.
People flock to the stupidest issues. The removal of that word from the game is such a non-issue and I’m shocked how much effort was poured into discussing it.
12 y/o’s without supervision should 100% not be playing online games anyway imo.
I don’t know why you’re so stuck on it being a 9 year old quest. It can be a 50 year old quest as far as I care, if they want to change it so be it.
Care to elaborate how this actually offends/bothers you? Is it because the game is slightly less edgy now?
If you mention what she says on the forum you get the post removed btw.
I am shocked seeing how many people defend this double standards attitude.
Wrong door my dear.
If we are going to censor a word because Garrosh was mean to Sylvanas, I want all her actions during BFA erased.
- Give the Night Elves their civilians and home back.
- Give the Forsaken their city and leader back.
- Return Saurfang, back to life.
- Erase this cursed expansion and make it a nightmare that you woke from.
Cheers.
This thread was also “unneeded” since there are already enough ones about this topic.
- That wasn’t the point, you keep saying 9 years old like it’s a relevant matter but when I confront you about it you’re ignoring it and simply moving the goalposts.
- I never said you shouldn’t question it, I don’t see what’s so bad about them removing that word.
If he’s responsible for the story in BfA, he deserves to be fired immediately.
Because it is relevant.
It’s not like the word has changed its meaning over time. It was used as an insult 9 years ago, continued to be used as an insult for 9 years, and it’s still used as an insult today
For 9 years there was no issue, no complaint, yet for some reason now, and only now, have they decided that actually it’s an offensive word and should be removed
