The "classic" version of a monk

I’m looking to get into classic however I really enjoy playing monk, and derp, its not a classic class.

What would you guys suggest is the most SIMILAR (mw healing/windwalker) classic version?

tips appreciated, thank you very much

Shaman.

Melee and healer.

Maybe Druid or Paladin, well not paladin until TBC at least.

Also mainly looking for something that plays similar to WW.

U wont find anything like WW in Classic… The Philosphy Is just completely different in class design in MoP v Classic entirely…

True, im not asking for the exact same as a WW. Just a melee class that is enjoyable.

He can heal himself as a warrior: bandages and diamond flask.

So… is warrior the best bet to play? I thought Rogue would of been on the same wave length as a monk, (sap, incap etc, leather wearers, etc)

if you like playing to destroy people if you are good play warr if you like to perma cc and backstab play rouge , and warr does more dmg than rouge

Rogue and warrior are both quite engaging melee classes. I guess rogue is more similar to monk because he attacks faster? No clue about monks actually.

Closest you will get in my eyes is probably Rogue but it’s still completely different.

I’d say rogue or enhancement shaman.

All i can think of is rogue, they are speedy bois.
