This can only be spoken by someone that plays little arena. Classes like Mage and Rogue will have an INSANE advantage, same for Holy Paladin like right now, or Arms Warrior for example.
There is NO way that you beat that as a non-meta comp. If they get slightly better RNG the Game is set because especially at lower to medium ratings the Comp matters a lot more due to all the mistakes players make.
You didn’t watch the video. It was said by a 2800 rated player and arguably one of the best pvpers. Almost every highly rated pvper wants solo queue. Whining about comps makes no sense when your final rank for that season is dependent on your specc. Say that the best mistweaver achieved 1600 rating in some season. Doesn’t matter. He gets a rank 1 title because he is the best mistweaver. It is no different than skirmish is right now, except that skirmish is completely pointless.
Good players will find a way to increase their rating. Mage-Rogue in 2v2 is already dominating so what difference does it make if they dominate in solo queue? None. These are arbitrary nonsense reasons. Also, nobody is forcing you to play solo queue.
Can’t wait for people lashing out at each other for stacking ccs, cds or everything else that would require actual communication. Soloq would be such a great addition

And not “every” High rated player wants solo queue, its a dumb idea in a game where it wont work at all.
SoloQ will solve nothing, if you think League is toxic you be surprised how much worse it whould get in WoW.

Not exactly true. As explained many times over by now, most recently:
it does have a way to work (kind of, at least) when people don’t care as much about their characters, just like other solo queue games.
If they’d do a moba-style character pick in a lobby together with instant creations of fully prepared characters, then once you’ve set up the UI etc. then all you need is to queue up and pick the char and spec you play according to what your team is picking and what your opponents are picking, in a turn-based order just like in mobas.
Except it wouldn’t be an RPG anymore. And it definitely won’t work with the way WoW works right now if the only thing they’d do is copypaste a solo queue. To add solo queue, it requires a lot of changes to the game.
Class designs would also change as a result of such an overhaul in the game’s core design concept. There’s not a snowball’s chance in hell you’d see all of those changes without them touching the class designs to suit it as well.
At least it would enable splitting the designs of classes to two different teams, one part of the game (i.e. the “tournament realms”) having a “PvP design” of classes while the other would be limited to “PvE designs”.
All of these changes would be needed if they’d ever try to establish WoW as a proper esports game. So far, they clearly haven’t tried to aim for that though. It has always been a thing on the side.
(Imagine the anger if you get teamed up with the same person on your team that you just lost a game with though, and how irritable strangers tend to be…

Issue with rbg is that without pvp guild or community is very hard to get it. Imagine playing non meta dps and trying to find a group without achievements or 220 ilvl. You rather go back to randoms bro

Through LFG atleast, you get to see options and look the players up first beforehand and depending on their note can also wake interest.

The point a lot of people bring up that solo queue would be broken because of the comps and the lack of communication and synergy seem to fail to understand, maybe because they don’t use LFG at all is that that is already the world people who play in the LFG live in.
You find a random guy in LFG, who you have 0 knowledge of if you play well together, and run the risk of queuing into some FOTM duo on voice at any rating.
With solo queue, sure stuff would be just as broken as in LFG, but at least both teams are at the same disadvantage (random teammates, no voice).

IF YOU DON’T LIKE THE IDEA THEN DON’T F**** PLAY IT! I hate raiding. I don’t raid. I don’t pve. Do I want blizzard to remove raids from the game? No. Just don’t play it. Solo queue should be there for the MASSIVE amount of players who want it.

It’d be a great way for people that don’t want to be looking at LFG for hours to group and play fast pvp games. If you don’t wish to use the system, you’re free to ignore it. What is your point prohibiting other players of using it? All your arguments are based around rbg composition and it having to have all the FOTM classes you’ve talked about. What if a demonology warlock wanted to queue there? Isn’t he allowed to play? He would be rejected for hours in LFG. Maybe if you are using one of the FOTM specs and want to have the very best possible composition then don’t use a random group finder and instead create the party by yourself. Meanwhile the demonology warlock guy will be able to play on a less optimal party.

LFG sysyem is perfect place to find group.
Just because people expect to find rival-elite groups without having any pvp knowledge,it doesn’t mean there should be solo rated queue.
With LFG,i can chose NOT topick horrible players,who have 20 games played and 2 wins.
