Soo this is it guys … no more horde vs alliance ,DF ends ,and everybody is hugging ,holds hands and saying “I’m sorry” for my war crimes ect … love is in the air, forgivnes from both sides is pouring out ,The War is over and for ever and ever Hord and Alliance will fight evil together as one… Garrosh and Varian Wrynn are dead, Greymane just got sented to a nursing home, There is no more strong characters in this game anymore …who will dismantled the horde now ? Who will be conquerors of the horde …There is no real "war"chief left … its all about love ,crying ,hugging and furryies … there is no War in "War"craft .This game become so soft …Why don’t you just add new facion like Legion , Scourge you name it just to hold the tension, rivalry …I want to be evil in game …The Dk starting zone o sylvanas loyalist quest line was the best exp for me ever. All pvp purpose “lore wise” is gone

The next expansion is literally called “the WAR within” so there is plenty of war in warcraft.
On the pvp topic: I don’t think you need Horde vs Alliance to have a good reason for pvp. PvP could simply be a training excercise between the two factions. We could also fight as mercenaries for companies or subfactions. Venture Co vs. Bloodsail Bucaneers or whatever. You could also have Rogue Factions. Turalyon could be the hard liner for the alliance and some random orc or the grim totems could be the war mongers for the horde. When you turn on war mode you join their faction. We basically have something like this ingame. When you fight in Alterac Valley you join the Frost Wolfs or the Stormpike Guard. So they can have plenty of reasons for pvp without having us go to war every expansion.
On playing the bad guys. No wow faction was a real bad guy faction. Even when you watch the old Classic Faction Intros no one is portrayed as the bad guy. And the same goes for warcraft 3. You were always trying to beat the bad guys and redeem yourself. Even in Warcraft 3 you tried to leave the old horde behind and cleanse yourself from the demon corruption.
I totally understand the fun of being a bad guy but MMOs are usually the wrong place for this.
On a side note. You can be pretty evil in BG3 if you enjoy being the bad guy. Knights of the Old republic 2 can be fun on a dark side playthrough as well :D.

Too few people PVP’ing these days I imagine to keep it as opposing factions. The queues are already up to an hour long in some cases and that’s with cross faction, take that cross faction back out and who knows how long you’d be in the queue then?

There doesn’t need to be another Faction War (yet) but honestly, the rivalry between the two factions needs to be kept.
I agree that it’s a bit sickening how lovey-dovey everyone gets now. This is just beyond stupid levels of limp-wristedness. The alternative doesn’t have to be all-out war and slaughter though; we just need some scuffles and some tension…
PvP is one thing but the Faction Rivalry is something else. It’s a dynamic that has been there from the start and has no need to be removed. I get that WoW is a fantasy story but this just removes all depth from it.
Every storyline now seems to be about feelings and melancholy hugging. There’s no life to it because its all dull and without any cross-faction tension!
I must admit, I preferred it when it was real cross faction cos it’s a bit weird lately, joining one game and the priest is your best mate and healing you, next game the same priest is now your enemy and you’re trying to kill him… feels a bit awkward lol

As a big fan of world PvP I always loved the x faction rivalry… when Im on my horde I hate alliance and when Im on my alliance I hate the horde lol I think it’s just great. When I’m on my night elf and they put me in a horde bg i always tell them “really you people burned down my home and now I have to heal you?” Or I start complaining about the horrible orc build quality of the start area

i was in your guild. and i saw how a horde druid were killing you at zaralek cavern and other alliances and you could only use /lol on him and running away/

People dragging world bosses to Org lol. I’d always kill the alliance flightmaster in Astranaar and then just wait till people came to defend that town so I could fight them.
And on my Alli I’d just attack crossroads and there’d be a ton of fights. Yeah those where the best times and will never come back unfortunatly I think. still great memories though.
We had some classic battles up at Tarren Mill in the day, there were others at Crossroads and Elwynn but the Tarren Mill ones were my first real experience of real cross faction, large scale battles. Great fun, apart from the lag.
