I find people who go on witch hunts for what people do in whispers way creepier.
The player in cause clearly took it a couple steps too far, and Bwonsamdi should send a plague after them in vengeance, but AD seems to enjoy going out of their way to ostracise people for what is really none of their business.

Nowadays most low-effort ERP BUSTED threads get locked and ridiculed and people just brush iust off as trolling.
Here someone ERPing isn’t even the main issue any more (or it hasn’t been since the first posts cropped up) but the way the situation was handled in favor of said ERPers.
The thread wouldn’t have a different tone if instead of ERP the player was sabotaging another guild for in-game gold. It’d still be the same ordeal.
Bit odd to pretend this isn’t still about the exact same thing, don’t you think?
There’s a paradox in this, though. If these people actually did it in whispers, and kept it in whispers, no one would be able to go after them.
Clearly, however, they don’t.
This wasn’t even about the ERP. The situation is what caused the backlash. Is it so hard to comprehend: An outside person looked at T[Redacted]'s TRP, saw his twitter link - clicked it. On the homepage is that art of them getting down. He reports it to San’goma. San’goma tries to act. Gets blindsided by Brutus and Co. It’s public. It wasn’t a witch-hunt.
And I get why it would be a problem because it’s bad roleplaying to shag on Bwonsamdi’s altar, but why exactly is it the guild’s business what two players do in a private char?
Now, clearly this wasn’t as private as it should’ve been.

I find it fascinating how quick people are to dehumanize people caught ERPing. I mean yes, I get it… We gotta make them understand that it is not right to do it and social punishment must be carried out.
They are stupid, not necessarily bad people… Do not attribute to malice what can easily be attributed to stupidity.
A lot of roleplay isn’t kid friendly, though. Torture, explicit violence, most things related to Undead and experimentations.

There isn’t much argument to be had when someone says ‘‘this is bad’’. It’s entirely subjective.
People usually go to places like that with the incentive to find certain things, no matter their age.
