So the issue is that they got caught.
Again, song and dance, done before.
I already agreed with you that if people kept their in private, I don’t care all that much. Clearly however, this wasn’t kept in private.
You. Others seem to care about the existence of the content in the first place.
Not only that but you know, speaking from experience. If you’re part of a reasonably active guild and some of your core members are sneaking off for private bubble erp in the middle of events then…
They’re contributing what, exactly? Apart from mountains of pixelized spooge?
Oh, it’s certainly still a problem, no doubt, but if it’s kept in whispers, no one can find out about it. So at that point it’s an invisible problem.
That’s definitely a problem. But I saw very few bring it up, so I assume that’s not the main issue.
Why, though? Why is what 2 people do in private your concern?
Because it’s still a game made for ages 12 and over, and I couldn’t count the amount of times I’ve seen people accidentally move their ERP from PMs to /s, /y, or /general on both of my hands. Way less of a problem if they keep it on a suitable platform.
Tbh if it’s made it onto the realm forums, it’s the concern of every player on those forums. Thus is the law of the AD community.
It is known.
Good thing we have chat filters that bleep out the bad words
I don’t think the purpose of the chat filter is designed to facilitate acts of deviancy.
No, it’s to hide them.
This is a really really strange argument, you know you’re able to just agree that public ERP = bad, right, instead of trying to defend it in this roundabout way
I’m not defending it. I’d report it if I saw it.
But your ‘‘think of the children’’ argument kinda goes out the window when they’d see #$(! $)!@$ !$(!$)
I didn’t realise children were so stupid.
In what way?
Because if your argument is that " This is bad because kids can see it " then " No, actually kids can’t see it " seems like a pretty good argument to me.
This is still going on?
Now it is simply vultures fighting over the carcass of the guild. The battle between post weasel Tehya and Illidari “No your argument is actually this” Intellectual.
Ikr.
I always get bored of the descent into philosophical grey area where we then have to engage certain individuals in a circular discussion concerning the nature of subjective morality, when in-fact the discussion is about societal norms and distaste, often not even broaching the topic of morality.
I dunno personally I find it very funny and an entertaining way to spend my time. Blood Elf DHs say the darndest things.
