Alright. Time for sideshow bob (me) to do something other than :poop:post. Now that we’ve done you the favour of bumping your thread allow me to express my gripes as someone who was in the First Empire and loved the concept but was, like another 10+ people, let down.

Hopefully this post will garner some conversation more constructive than the private DMs in which you simply told not only two officers but a GM that you dont trust them and brushing aside their concerns to preserve the guild’s image.

My main gripe with the guild isnt the RP or the majority of its members, I think its a cool concept and its been constructive IC wise in giving zandalari RPers a network to use. However, the complete lack of tact and professionalism shown OOC has to be addressed.

When an officer of the First Empire gets messaged by someone outside the guild that someone within the First Empire has some very nsfw art that can be clearly linked back to the guild, and then a member leaves out of a joint event with another guild to go ERP in the jungle, you’d think the natural response would be to kick the person ruining the guild’s image and making other people within the guild uncomfortable.

But instead the decision was made to pressure out a member of the triumvirate and an officer and brush aside their valid concerns as :poop:. If you handle everything the way you handled this then you’re not going to set yourselves a good track record.

The argument cant be made that “oh you’re being too [insert boogyman Big Brand Community name here]” because if this was kept under wraps in /p or what have you it wouldn’t have come to light in the first place and we’d all be hunky dory right now and you wouldn’t be 11 members down.

considering the tone and content of your other posts i think good faith was never in your interest in the first place.

this all just out as yet another attempt to tarnish the competition of a large group of guilds, you refer to them as ‘big brand’, by making accusations wildly.

ive personally had nothing but good interactions with the first empire. so what if there is one person who has strange content on their profile? you can report profiles now these days? why need to kick a fuss up over it?

theres very obvious discord baiting going on right now trying to pull down this thread and cast as bad light as possible on a very good group of people. at least be genuine about your intentions and not mask it behind false outrage

to finish on a nicer note i really enjoyed the parade you guys did, i can tell it took a lot of organisation to pull off and the atmosphere was pleasant

I can assure you, the last thing anyone thinks the first empire is, is competition at this rate.

It was a sinking ship as soon as you kicked one of your own officers who had been in it with you since the start, over someone with barely a decent grasp of the English language who wasn’t even in the guild properly IC.

As someone with negative interest in what the big brand communities/guilds/pillars want on this realm I can safely say I can disregard who the whistleblower is when it’s about a player advocating ERP. If the leadership do these weird mental gymnastics to solicit that behavior and remove those who make a fuss about it then it’s not a guild me, or many others, should be a part of. Actually it shouldn’t even exist.

Add to that this weird tribalist approach by the resident ostrich community (ALL IS WELL BECAUSE THE PARADE LOOKED FUN LALALA YOU ARE JUST BEING MEANIES) and all this becomes incredibly infantile.

i am not in the guild before we start going down that path although i do have a zandalari who took part in their memorial parade.

and it is clearly an attempt to tarnish a guild because someone disliked a decision made by the guild leader, theres nothing else to it. kick up some false outrage about it being over a weird rp profile call in some mates over discord and start trashing the place as quick as possible.

ive been on ad for a long time i know how these things go lol

not your place to decide what should and shouldnt exist on the server though. not our place either to judge how a guild leader runs their guild. if there is an issue with how a guild leader operates then it should be between them and them alone

bringing out publicly on their thread is just admitting you want to cause as much damage to them as possible imo
