The Future of Warcraft : Future Expansions

I know that shadowlands just dropped a few months ago, and we are still in this expansion, but i wanted to ask this : What does the future awaits us ? What kind of zones would blizzard surprise us, themes and expansions?

Scarlet Crusade theme expansion, revealing a new continent of Lordaeron ( Northern Lordaeron, where Lord Prestor ( Deathwing ) was holding a land.

AU Draenor 2.0 : Zones we haven’t explored yet, and the future there with the Lightbound Legion ( Burning Legion 2.0 with light instead ) such as Farahlon and other places.

Dragon Isles, Murozond corruption, new type of dragons and new dragonflights with exploring the lore of Dragons more. Maybe we get to meet Galakrond in shadowlands and somehow he returns to Azeroth and then boom the big bad guy?

Thoughs? I’m interested to see your thoughs on this topic. We may be a little early with Shadowlands just dropping, but its never too early to just discuss about the future of this game. What other ideas you MIGHT have that wow is heading into?

You know what, screw it. Let’s go. Lordaeron 2.

All we know about Lordaeron is the undead starting zone and those around it. Never seen the homeland of the Scarlet Crusade. What happened to the untouched land of the Humans and where Calia was hiding.

Lol. Well. I am sure people would laugh if someone said future expansion could be shadowlands and here we are.

Northern Lordaeron is real and could be used as a continent. Maybe could happened in the future since the Scarlet Crusade left so many messages.

It is, and ignore all those weirdos who call it “Quel’thalas”.

The Scarlet Crusade aren’t big enough to have an -entire- expac cantered around them.

I’m still holding out hope that N’zoth isn’t actually dead and while the player characters are off in the Shadowlands in sheer horror as to the number of turtles they damned to the maw in the LAST expac, we get some more Old God shenanigans on Azeroth and a better ending for the tentacled menace.

Time travel to an alternate War of the Ancient where Maive now leads an army of demi-futuristic techno-elves.

Blizzard always pulls something out of their A-- Pocket. Kul’tiras wasnt big enough either and Drustvar and Stormsong and Tiragarde were made. Shadowlands didnt have alot of Lore and they came up with something. Blizzard finds a way to do it.

Its time for the Mongrel Horde, Warlords of Azeroth lets go!

Oh i am ignoring them.

Even a Kezan-themed expansion can be a thing. Undermine as a zone, the rest of the island, close-by Islands, etc.

Probably a “Light Bad” focused expansion. Like Yrel coming in to get more Lightbound.

We have a whole other side of Azeroth, no?

I don’t think what we saw so far is all land mass.

I’d go for either an Azeroth revamp (this is less likely to happen anytime soon!) or more cosmic forces. Perhaps a realm of titans, or something like that.

Personally after Shadowlands, i’d like 10.1 to be:

World of Warcraft: Taking a fricking break

Not literally, of course, but maybe… lets tone it down for a while. There is still stuff to do before the big bad°. Help rid places XYZ of idk, unruly kobolds so rebuilding can happen. A World Revamp. Cataclysm 2.0 but this time we fix things. H/A both lost Major Cities. Replace them with Undermine and Gnomeregan. All that Jazz.

Before, of course:

The Big Bad

The Cosmic War. Hopefully 11.1, not 10.1.

We all know it’s coming, it’s inevitable. Light vs. Void. And most importantly; Alliance Conflict. The Dark Portal reopens, and out steps Yrel with the Lightforged. Turalyon, maybe still on the Throne, but most likely still Lord Commander of the Alliance Army, pledges his Forces (the Alliance/Humans/Lightforged Draenei) to Yrel and AU X’era. Anduin (and Alleria), Genn etc. propavly aren’t too Gucchi with that tho, so this sparks a split, a Rebellion between the People. And, as the Alliance did in BfA, the Horde… kinda just gets to watch.

Alternative 1 (likely): Isn´t a cosmic war as Lytania calls it, or discowar (Taliasin and Evitels wording not mine :stuck_out_tongue: ) between shadow and light to be expected soon? Its been hinted for so long and built up so it feels like there should be soon.

Alternative 2 (not likely at all but it´s in my mind): Im gonna go there not because I believe it, but it would be a intresting spin… Three/four factions, a PVP expansion, (not only obviously), where we “jump-off” to the shadow-light one. A exp where the faction divide up and you choose the faction as you choose ure character. One old-alliance aka Anduins, One old-horde aka grunts/bash/take, one new horde thralls and Jaina. One of Tyrandes batsheit crazy and Good-boy-Genn going to seek out Hordekills.

I just want to hang with the Lightbound and kill tons of orcs bros lets goooooo send in yrel

I’d like for blizzard to introduce young, compelling characters like garrosh in TBC. Let them grow through an expansion or two and let them spice up the factions.

Let them lead us to new lands in Azeroth, explore new dangers and overall just lower the stakes a bit.

(Yes I want MoP 2.0 but not the ending)
