Loads of players in Org yesterday afternoon.
The game is dead at the moment you decide it is dead.
I play since cata and i never saw the game dead.
There’s always something to do, content to do. And when it’s done you can do the same for an another class and specialisation, trying new gameplay.

plenty of people on Classic dude , preping , leveling for TBC . Most of my Shadowlands guild are on Classic. Since TBC rumoured to come out end of May.
As for Shadowlands just take a break and come back for 9.1. I think the majority now have hit reknown 40 and got curve.
If you haven’t tried Classic perfect time for it , so many new players and lowbies starting out. So plenty of quest , new guilds and dungeons groups going on. The player base isn’t just all at 60 right now.

So far I’ve avoided Classic (played it in 2005 but only made it to 30 then).
But since I rejoined in TBC I’ve only taken a ocuple of breaks so considering giving it a go again. I want to go through the stories that aren’t there anymore since cata redid all the zones.
I’d prefer to do this in current wow using Chromie / Zidormu to redo the original Duskwood or original Plaguelands (I still remember enjoying Plaguelands on my paladin) but might do it on classic.

I’ve been there, when they called the game DEAD because of WotLK, now it’s the most lauded expansion of them all.

The game truly does feel dead at the moment though, deader than at any point I can remember and even during its worst moments I have always found something to enjoy in wow.
But in this xpac I can truly say that there is nothing that feels worthwhile or enjoyable. I have levelled 6 -7 toons to 60. Kitted them out to about ilvl 200 and just given up because it is precisely at that point that I spend 95% of my wow time in queues for m+ or rated bgs getting rejected over and over again.
The situation is not helped by being alliance on a last rites server with virtually no guild action whatsoever.

Really. So you have one of the largest games content-wise ever produced, and you feel it’s dead. Right. Sure. There’s probably nothing you can do, which you haven’t already done. You have completed WoW, just like Chuck Norris. Congratulations!

Yeah it feels dead /shrug. On my server there is virtually no one left playing.

The game is DEAD and nobody is playing it on my server. Do you know about the Cross Realm Zones? About the server clusters? The features which everybody complains about because those make the game DEAD? There is no “my server” anymore, and it hasn’t been for a while (for years). So stop pretending you are the special little snowflake, for which the game is DEAD.
Oh hush, there is no pretending going on, well not on my side of things at least.

and then that content is done within a 2-3 days and then you are back to being “Bored”
I don’t understand the people who shout for new new new… It’s not going to change the game as a whole.
You need to make your own fun, if you are “Done” on one character, make another one, try a different spec, role etc.
