The game is unplayable in this form

CSGO and World of Tanks managed, they just don’t want to invest the money lmao

Is it difficult and maybe even nonsensical? Perhaps, but it’s not impossible.

You can’t compare those games with WoW.
They are completely different on a base level.

We could go back to snap shoting which dramitcally reduces the calculation.

100% that it could be solved without getting a whole new game.
They should prioritize this, so every event is unpleasant.
An old player is used to it and doesn’t expect more, but there are plenty of new players who won’t be so patient.

I saw an interview. and I was very scared. I don’t know of any horror film that can produce such a horror!
as if I look a dead corpse in the eyes…

wow used to be very cool. a masterpiece! graphic, sounds, atmosphere… and the lively open world world!
unfortunately everything was ruined…

and good to know that there are other people who love their own projects! and fight for it!

No, you completely can compare them.
It’s not like it’s impossible to optimise an engine.

Either way, they’ll have to come up with something, they can’t keep making content that the engine can’t support.

I was having this issue when 10.1 released turned out to be I needed more ram :man_shrugging:

I disagree.
It would mean the game would be stagnant for a significant amount of time as the whole team would need to prepare the game for the ‘move’.

It’s completely cost inefficient to do so. What would it get them? The game is old. Nothing is going to change that. Kids aren’t going to come flocking to this game (nor would I want them to, honestly).

I’m not going to go into a back and forth on this.
I’m not going to defend something that is factual.

That’s not at all what some people are suggesting (and not what I was talking about).
Of course they should optimize the engine whenever possible.

I’m talking about ‘re-fitting’ WoW into a completely new engine.

You’re right, though:
Whatever good content is added, lagg spoils the experience. And here I’m talking about bigger events. I think the heart and soul of this type of game is something you can do with a lot of people.

I think we must face the fact that an old game with dropping player numbers will have less money spent on it.

Ever considered it is your PC being the problem?

Even on my old Laptop I BARELY had ever FPS drops below 30.

World of Tanks is a much less complicated game.

No it can’t possibly be their pc has to be blizzard

I have 3060Ti,Ryzen 5600x,16 ggia 3200mhz ram,so its kinda avr pc. But i have 32" monitor 144hz. My fps doesn’t go below 30 either.

chuckles in 128.

The PCs are not the problem. There’s a lot of players with good ones that encounter that lag

Are they even working on this or are they just leaving it like this? Kinda broken if you ask me.

You go trough the entire event, Everything is a fun experience so far and all and Bam! No boss or reward for you! Better luck next time! If the boss could at least respawn for those of us that gets kicked out. If they can’t fix the capacity maybe

Of all the things to flex about you do it over ram?

Oh, I wasn’t flexing. Just mentioning it. For gaming so much is rather useless. But for my rendering projects in Blender it is basically backup-VRAM due to the shared RAM usage functions of Blender.

For games I have effective 12GB VRAM. But for Rendering I have effective 12GB VRAM and 70GB VRAM backup.

I figured you probably used that amount for 3D rendering but I just found it weird to mention in a topic about video game performance.

Oh well.
